Wf-Downloads or MyDownloads would fit the bill nicely here

If any of you guys have a bit of time on your hands, please can you go to this page and tell me why the gaps between the lines are so big in Opera and Firefox, but as I want them to be in Internet Explorer.

The three stylesheets I'm using can be found here:
http://development.purplepixel.net/purplepixel/css/ie_layout.css
http://development.purplepixel.net/purplepixel/css/compliant_layout.css
http://development.purplepixel.net/purplepixel/css/styles.css

I'd be really, really grateful if someone would help me out :)

I have to say that I have no little experience with CMSs other than XOOPS

as for the strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths: There are simply so many modules to choose from, bugs are generally fixed quickly. Active community for solving problems that users encounter

Weaknesses: Object oriented code used in XOOPS is difficult to modify without object oriented php skills (which I for one, am lacking).

Currently, many people cannot decide which version of XOOPS to use as version 2.0.13.2 is considered more stable than the latest 2.2.x branch. I agree with this which is why I have switched my site back to 2.0.13.2. Some people do not agree with this. (no offence intended to core devs!)

IE7... God help us

Why don't micro$oft just rebrand Firefox, I can guarantee it would make a better browser.

I'm designing an xhtml strict site layout with CSS at the moment. Unfortunately, my site looks poor in internet explorer but looks fine in firefox and opera (predictably).

I have heard of various CSS hacks that can be used that only IE can see and firefox etc cannot.

I don't understand how to use these though. Please could someone show me some of the code required to make my layout line up in IE6 AS WELL as firefox and opera. I don't care about IE5

The page can be found at:

http://development.purplepixel.net/purplepixel

Help me please - I'm beginning to lose faith in all of this CSS-p stuff

Wow - I managed not to swear at IE throughout this whole post.

For that I surely deserve a good reply

(bloomin 'eck this is my 100th post - Wow!!)
