Hi

My website currently uses MKPortal and SMF integrated with each other.

I have been looking at different Portal / CMS systems to see if they match up to or surpass MKPortal. Therefore I would like to ask some questions. I do apologize I did not read through the whole XOOPS site but only read a few bits and pieces here and there.

Q1) Is Zoops integratable with SMF 1.1RC2 ?

Q2) Is XOOPS integratable with Flash Chat?

Q3) Does XOOPS offer the following internal modules?
- media (for playing videos/audios/flash)
- image gallery
- Shoutbox
- Links repisoritory
- Downloads module (for storing files for download)
- Blogs (for members to own their own blogs )
- Reviews (for writing revews of books etc)
- Quotes (for storing random quotes which may appear on the page)

Q4) What would you describe as XOOPS biggest strength and weakness?

Q5) Can you list any other features / mods or other aspects in XOOPS which would convince me to use XOOPS instead of MKPortal?

Please if you can do answer these questions or point me to the relavant thread :)
Thank you

I have to say that I have no little experience with CMSs other than XOOPS

as for the strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths: There are simply so many modules to choose from, bugs are generally fixed quickly. Active community for solving problems that users encounter

Weaknesses: Object oriented code used in XOOPS is difficult to modify without object oriented php skills (which I for one, am lacking).

Currently, many people cannot decide which version of XOOPS to use as version 2.0.13.2 is considered more stable than the latest 2.2.x branch. I agree with this which is why I have switched my site back to 2.0.13.2. Some people do not agree with this. (no offence intended to core devs!)
