How do you diffine 'application'?
Is it a deamon running on the server, is it a php script we need to set up with Cron?
If deamon, what OS will it run on?

Also, I can imagine a lot of sites where the admin won't have access to Cron/running deamons - can this 'application' be run from a remote server and act as a 'gateway' between the email server and the XOOPS server?

Strange, just when here to post about the same.

Upgraded a module (WF-Section) via FTP sync, and now my SysAdmin icon is gone from the Admin.php page. Alias, I have 'Administration' in the User menu, but the System Admin icon is GONE from the 'Control Panel Home' menu.
Using /modules/system/admin.php works, but what happened to my Menu?
Any scripts to 're-install' Xoops?

But! If it should be Very Easy, it would be a Mac OS X box!

PHP is included(although you can upgrade it), MySQL is pre-compiled, and comes as an installer - takes 5-15 min depending on your knowledge, and you're up running!

I know, I know... not all choses the easy path...

Hej Dottie.

Create a folder structure with the files you have made.
Zip/Sit it to a file, and make it available somewhere.

If you like, make an account on my site and we can add it there.

Call 40 16 38 06 if you need help!

Venligst,

This might go to Feature Requests:

I think this should be moved to a function xoops_substr() that has a default pref in the admin section, and then all bloks that use it should have a way to overwrite the default lenght. We should not be forced to edit php scripts to change this!!!

Or, on the Mac, use BBEdit...
