Freaky:

Try typing this in your browser's URL field:

http://www.yoursitesname.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=modulesadmin

If you get the modules list page, go to the System module line, look for the "Action" column and click on the left icon to update the module.

I hope this works.

Cheers.

Freaky:

Try to log in with your admin user and password

http://www.yoursitesname.com/user.php

and then, if you log in correctly

http://www.yoursitesname.com/admin.php

Cheers.

Ok, i just got access to the admin system page, but the admin system icon seems not to appear on the outer left side. It only appears on the left side in the admin system page column.

Sorry for my english but i am dutch spoken.

Freaky:

If you can see the options, select Admin > Modules and then update the system module.

If you can't see the options, try now using

http://www.yoursitesname.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=modulesadmin

and then update the system module.

Cheers.

Freaky:

I'm glad you've solved your problem. And one of the reasons I'm here is I like helping other people just as some others helped me while learning to play with Xoops.

As far as I know, The module nearest to a usable state is osCommerce, but I haven't tried it yet.

Cheers.

I realize this is an old topic, but I was pointed here by someone else.

I am having very similar problems now. My System Admin icon dropped out early this morning after no major change. I tried reloading the module as you had directed above, and I still don't have the icon. I checked all the cache folders, and they are all set properly with the correct permissions and what-not.

Is there any other solution that perhaps I havn't tried yet?

Incidentally, I'm using XOOPS 2.0.3 on a Debian Linux server with all the current versions of PHP, mySQL and so on.
