The standard XOOPS code image tags [img align=left] work fine for aligning images left or aligning them right but they always align the image to the left when I try to use the center tag [img].

I couldn't find any mention of this in the forums and I'm wondering whether this is normal or is it just my site?

Without using HTML, is there any simple way to force images to the center?

A genius indeed. Works like a charm!

For others experiencing this problem you'll have to change write permissions for mainfile.php to make the changes stick. Don't forget to change them back.

Another symptom of this problem is that during the faulty login, banners always appear scrunched into the top row of Shoutbox. Once you relogin that annoyance goes away.

Thanks raschmidt.

Just about every time I log in everything proceeds as it should, reloading the main page with all the Registered User goodies. If I try to access another page or the admin area. Then I usually get this message:

Quote:
"Sorry, you don't have permission to access this area"

Then when I log in again eveything is fine.

This need to log in twice happens about 90% of the time.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.9.2 with no prior upgrades, installed via Fantastico.

Where would I check in ArMS to see if and how it was implemented? I mean, what kind of code strings should I look for? The messaging interface used in ArMSis identical to the one I'm using now in the forum. Is there a name for that?

Is there a way to toggle XOOPS Code on or off?

I'm using ArMS article management system and when I try to bold something the formatting code shows up rather than the desired result.

Is XOOPS Code site-wide or is it module specific?

I'm trying to assess whether XOOPS would be appropriate for a specific purpose. I have two books, one 300 pages long and the other 200 pages long. I'd like to host to them both online but I'm having trouble getting the organization through XOOPS that I want. I'm wondering if it's because of an inherent difference in the linear logic of print media versus the randomness of hypertext.

I've tried the default modules for News and Sections but they don't really organize things the way I'd like. Or at least I can't figure out how to use them to achieve the desired results.

Then I installed AMS [Anger Management System] and I'm able to place one book quite simply in a linear fashion which is great. I can't, however, seem to be able to use it to place a second parallel series of articles that make up the second book. Does anyone know if this is indeed possible or whether it's possible to place a second iteration of AMS to get to where I want to be?

Essentially what I want is a couple links from the front page to:

Book #1:
Book #2:

When clicked a new page will come up with the table of contents of book one:

Book #1

Chapter #1
Chapter #2
Chapter #3... #n

Each of these chapter headings will of course link to the actual content. Book #2 should follow exactly the same structure. The only way I can see to get Book #2 on there is to add it after all the chapter headings in Boo#1. Is that correct?
