I'm on XOOPS 2.2 and the new extended profiles module is great but I was wondering if there is a way that users can browse prifiles in a particular group instead of searching for them.
I've got a lot of local bands on my site who would love their profile to be public but other members would rather be private.
Is this possible??

Cheers mate, I got that. Also a good tip to make sure you setup the premissions for the module

Yeah I just figured that one out - also, don't forget to make sure you have permissions set so that annonomous users can access the extended profiles module.
That did it for me.

I had that problem - seehttps://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=40189&forum=1
for a solution on sorting it out.

Xoops 2.2 deals with the blocks differently so once you can see the administration panel for them you have to reset all the permissions for them.

I'm having the same issue - 'Register Now!' just redirects from register.php to user.php?xoops_redirect=%2Fmodules%2Fprofile%2Fregister.php&
It's the lost password page.
I've tried it in both Firefox and Avant - both behave exactly the same. Have been trawling the forums looking for a solution without luck.
Only upside is that there seems to be a bunch of hacked sites that didn't upgrade but I'd like to get services back to normal.

I've upgraded to 2.2 and now whenever anyone hits the 'register now!' link it seems to direct them to www.mysite.com/register.php but it won't load and they're redirected to www.mysite.com/user.php?xoops_redirect=%2Fmodules%2Fprofile%2Fregister.php&
It's the lost password page.
I have registration turned on in Admin

Anyone got any idea what's happening here?

It's the lost password page.
What's going on here?

Yes, it would have been an earlier version of XOOPS 2.0 - probably around 2.0.07 or thereabouts. I got rid if it about 3 months ago.

If it sheds any light on why this might happen I can tell you that clockcalendar is a block I used for a short while. I updated my default theme (no others available on my site to users) and removed the block. There have been a couple of minor XOOPS updates since and now the 2.2 upgrade.
I've also recently switched host server.
I'm thinking that maybe one of the intermediate versions of XOOPS hasn't dealt with blocks as it should have and led to this???
I don't know - it's just a suggestion for someone who actually KNOWS what they're doing...
