I just moved to Surpass on 10/19. The good thing is that the new server I have (Name Deso) is super fast. up/down load files via ftp, it was almost flawless, unlike the other servers time out a lot. And the page load is super also.

Now the bad words:

Since 10/22, the server down time is not as they said 99.9% up time. Several hours each on 10/22 afternoon and this morning. I was running a pay per click ad and all my money is down to the drain because of the interruption of service.

I am happy because Google finally came to my site and did the spider crawl indexing. I am upset because instead of getting my contents, they just recorded the URLs, if you search the term "creforum" you get:

**********
www.creforum.net/modules/mylinks/singlelink.php?cid=5&lid=5

www.creforum.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=30&forum=4&post_id=39

********

instead the title of the topics.

Any one had more experience on this?

I have been getting this error many times in the past few days. In addition to all the above senior leader's answers, one of the thing I was facing is the Server side database overload. You have no control over that, you just have to wait it out.

ok,
1. upload all the *.gif files to the \upload directory
2. run myphpadmin
3. choose database on the left column
4. click on "sql" icon (top middle), it will show two boxes.
5. in the lowerbox it says Location of the textfile:
click choose box
6. choose "tables.sql" on your disk, hit ok
7. click go

I have successfully to pointing XOOPS to write to sql database on another host. Its not hard, just to change the mainfile.php and add permission to cpanel.

I would like to have XOOPS write to two identical sql databases the same time and when one database is down, the process will continue. Another thing I want to know is if the database will auto sync each other once a downned database is recovered.

What is the proper attributes for these two subdirectory?

On my test site, I turned on the php debug and templates update options. And found that XOOPS is failed attempting write to these two directories. I changed the attributes to 775 and its not reliefed. Only when I changed it to 777, all the writing errors disappeared.

My question: Should I change the attributes of these two subdirectories on my production? What is the impact on securities?

What are your findings? I am still having the same problem.

Perhaps it has to do with Opera, its newer version, its saved log in info processing methods....

Thanks.

I am on the newbb2 development site mailing list, never this is mentioned. I do not want to raise an issue there because this site may have some hecks that no one has.

On this site, my bookmark points to the News, so when I click on it, I go to the news. I have my id and password saved in my Opera browser so I log in from there. But when I try to post on this forum, it won't let me submit and says I don't have the rights, even though I am on the "who is online". and I can see the reply, new topics icons and I was able to enter text.

Now If I go to the HOME page and log in from there, I will be able to post here on the forum.

Is it just me, the opera browser(7.53) or what?
