The problem wasn't formulated accuretly, and it turned out to be a blanc-page error!

Individual was then directed to FAQ page.

You've deleted the database! That's your problem

Or did you only delete the db-table of newbb?

From your description, it sounds as if you deleted the complete database, which contains all the info (which mods are installed, config, users, etc...).

Only the location of the DB, the DB user name, and password are stored in a file (mainfile.php)

You will have to start completely from the beginning, as I see it. And you have lost all information entered! The only chance of recovery is if you have made a backup previously.

BTW: with many hosting services you will experience slow service, as multiple sites run on the same system. I'm talking from experience.

The x2t theme comes with a template set, which you need to install.

1- upload template set in Template Manger (Sys Admin)
2- set x2t template set, as default template set (Sys Admin -> Prefs -> General Settings)

I believe the template set is included in the extras folder, that you see when unpacking the XOOPS package.

Once you've done that, you will surely be suprised and amazed, how the look of your site has changed

Instead of answering PM's, do what I did:

- check profile
- see if question has been posted in forums
- answer in forum

If this hasn't been the case, advise to post in forums.

We are doing volunteer support here, from which (in my opinion) all should profit!

We can't complain about people not searching and looking on their own, if the information is not made public.

Further, there is much to much happening 'behind closed doors' in this community - I believe. That's one of the reasons for some critical thoughts being posted in the announcement of the XOOPS Foundation.

Sorry if I sound lecturing, but it's not meant that way, just a friendly post of my thoughts on the subject

To set a link, use the following HTML:

<a href="URLwhereToLinkTo">YOURLINKTEXT</a>

After you made the changes to the appropriate file, and uploaded it, go to Sys Admin -> Modules.

You should now see a table with all installed modules. To the right there are two images, which work as buttons. Hovering over them lets an explanation text appear. The left button/image is the one to update the module.

As you have manipulated a file from the system module, click the update button of the system module. This will (should ) make your changes effective.

Or you just create a custom block (Sys Admin -> Blocks)....much easier and quicker

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!

Regarding YAXS, just need to be patient, until one of the moderators gets around to accept your posting.

Regarding security, view the XOOPS Tips&Tricks release, and visit GIJOE's site for the protector module (important: read the instructions!).

Regarding your site, it's not about chocolate, but dogs. I like dogs, but not as much as I like chocolate

Your site is very dense, so you need to tweak that design a little. Maybe you should go with another theme. There is a doggy theme in the Theme Library.
