Thanks, I did that.

However, there are other menus that i'd like to see such as the direct link to the admin page and the notification menu. how come they're missing?

Hi!

My service provider accidentally deleted my account from his web-hosting service.

So i had to start installing XOOPS from scratch. I was successful the first time i installed it, i could use it smoothly.

This is the first time i encountered this problem. after successfully installing xoops, after logging in, all i have is the Home menu. what can i do to make the other menus appear?

hi. i want my template to have links to personal data. these should come form the database. what my code does is extract the names from the database and display them in my template (template1.html) using smarty variables (ex. <{$lastname}>.

these names have links to another page that displays the person's complete data. this attempt is successful. i can get names form the database and display them with links.

i have no idea how to pass smarty variables to another template (template2.php - displays complete data of a person depending on the name clicked). however, template2.php does not display the value of <{$lastname}> . it merely displays <{$lastname}>

in short, it does not recognize the smarty variable. my idea is to use include, but which file do i include to which?

i have no idea how to pass them to template2.

Sub-module dropdown -> RESOLVED

hi again!

i want to develop my own modules and sub-modules. For now, i developed the screens and templates first so the user can navigate through them.

one thing bothers me, though. When i click a module, i want it to automatically display the submodules. Right now, it brings me to the module's folder, and i had to choose a respective sub-module's php file before i can actually see the template. and when it does bring me to the template, the sub-module names are already under the module's name (i.e., the module has expanded and displays the available sub-modules).

i have no problem accessing the submodules' template by this time, since they're already displayed on the menu area. i just need a way for the sub-modules to display/expand upon clicking the module so the user won't have to choose among the diff php files.

thanks in advance!
