What about your host access and error logs? What to they show for timestamped log entries related to your unsuccessul login attempts, and how do they differ from entries related to known previous successful logins/signups?

What about your host, any changes there beyond your awares?

Twitter limits message length to 150 characters or so, plus allows comments. Whereas Smallworld is certainly capable of publishing posts less than or equal to 150, it can also go way beyond this limit, with comments.

If the Smallworld mastermind adds a post length limitation setting in the prefs, then the site admin could deploy this as a microblog that will not allow users to exceed a set number of characters in the post.

I've created a mobile theme and it works like a charm.

I am having a conflict with the ways and means of doing this. As Cesag quoted Tatane, modules have their own html that carry forward into the XOOPS desktop theme, would modules not have to be mobile ready html templates as well (with mobile user agent awareness too)? Otherwise you would be shoehorning module html designed for desktop into a mobile XOOPS theme, which could have very ugly results. This is perhaps what you mean by administrator taking out....whatever.

Typically, a simple mobile them will be an elastic single column with header/footer where the menu items and various links get left justified and arranged in vertical order, and the area between header and footer gets replaced by module template, as selected by menu that is part of the header.

This is a good example. Sometimes a good framework for comparison is necessary especially across cultural/linguistic/cerebral boundaries.

I seem to remember irmtfan pointing out an alternative url to someone (different thread). I would seriously wait for imrtfan to dump on this. It might be a day or three.

Meanwhile, on 2.5.6, there is one known issue with the version of newbb I was alluding to above. It does not provide an edit my post link to posters even when all permissions are enabled for this. I just learned to live with it.

I know that bug question was not directed at me, but this is a good time to make this known.

NewBB seems to work okay, even though it is not on the final list. It is the one you used to post this thread. It has taken two different directions and I lost track of the versions. I think Cesag or Mamba could point you to the latest release candidate.

Hey anyone from the French quarter, is the mobile theme that was still being tested quite some time ago about to moved to Beta any time soon? Maybe crowd sourced testing would move it along faster.

For what its worth, Protector module has several settings for which blank screen can be the result. Would it make sense to rule out Protector as the root cause by temporarily disabling in the Protector modules preferences (it is the first config option)?

But what does it apply to? The core? Should be no reason for someone on that level to be changing the core. Modules? If the hope is for a search to track changes in modules with all their independent activities and developers, trying to get the system to track these could be un-doable.

Is this not the job of change logs associated with version releases?

You say search engine and search function. There is already a search function in XOOPS that will search out all current or historical content on a XOOPS site.

Were you referring to perhaps a search engine module that would turn a XOOPS site into a search engine such as Startpage?
