"Forum Not Selected" Help plz!

Hey all,
We Finally upgraded to XOOPS 2.5.
Unfortunately an old error has arisen.
It has to do (I recall I think)
with either user.php or checklogin.php

Now I know you all remeber this issue....
When not logged in-
browsing forums or news ...then you log in and get "error forum not selected" etc.) Really annoying problem. There was a simple fix I had added from someones suggestion...cant find it anywhere! Have searched high an low..

Anyone have any ideas ?

Neurus, this is something Im concerned about with my site as well. Could you share the following info?
1)which version of internet explorer are you using?
2)PC or MAc?
3)What is your screen resolution.

If you can share that it would be great...
but for a quick answer, if you are using IE 5.0 (and sometimes 5.5) then that overlapping will be caused by the css files. Supposedly fixable by setting all widths that are currently set to 100% to 99.9%.

Admin:updating modules

Quick question:
We are upgrading from 2.0.3 to 2.0.5 tonight and just wanted to check..
do we need to update all the modules in admin area?
Or just the system?

Also: any reports of the modules from x-mod not working with new version?

Alright my friends,
We have 2.0.3 running pretty smooth...and we are finally considering upgrade to 2.0.5 (because of some bug issues we can't fix).

Should we do the patch or th full install?
we have been patching since 2.0,
My main problem with re-install (and its not on the wiki as far as I can tell)
Is that there is nothing about what to do when you get to a certain point in install.

For Instance, you go through the whole install script, but when do you stop? DO you create the same modereator admin names? etc. That is where I have stopped in the past. and then transfered my dbv over and things were fine. Is that worng?

I'd prefer to do the patch! BUT I understand there were problems with this before. Have they been fixed?

Hmmmm,
I dont see a "proper" footer on my page as done from setup? Is it because the images Im using? I thought they would be in the background?

Can someone direct me to where I need to go to diplay the footer?

Or, I know this is a simple question:
Do I just need to anually add it in the template file?
(not a problem just making sure I did pass over an easier step)

Was this mod ever updated to not require an email (twice) for validation?

Or did anyone hack it?

Ive noticed it too. BUT
I like to think of it as just showing you current events in your profile. Once you think that way it's really not that bad..right?
