I think and Im not sure here but you may be talking about something we have accomplished on our site.(see profile) The sub menu title Port-info incorperates the wfchannel : uh...channels. To get the Urls I just (after configuring wfchannels) had to actually visit the respective url and copy from address bar.

To create that, simply create a custom block. Using the same tags etc. (but different urls) as are used in the Template/system/mainmenu......

Simply copy a few of those..well wait just a moment Ill snatch em up....

ok Here....

<table>
<tr>
<td id="mainmenu">
<a class="menuMain" href="http://www.yoursite.com/modules/wfchannel/index etc.etc.">
About</a>
<a class="menuSub" href="http://www.yoursite.com/modules/wfchannel/">
Support us</a>
<a class="menuSub" href="http://www.yourwebsite/modules/wfchannel/index.php?op=link)">
Link to us!</a> </td></tr></table>

It's the TD and A class that make it appear as the rest of the menu, and will appear based on your css theme.
Choose HTML as the style of block.....

As an alternative (ie:you don't want this in a seperate block)Simply add your urls to the existing template....

Hope that helps!

thanks...
things seem to be working
I need to learn PHPmyadmin better it seems pretty vaulable but also a little risky.

I was able to import the text files I created (from the exported file I had made as backup) into mysql, and execute them!

I hope this was the right thing to do...it seemed surprisingly easy, I guess I had the right kind of Back-up

It appears to be working, it was a rollback of sorts...of course but easy to update!
Thanks again for looking into this Catz!

MAN oh man Im an idiot!
I uninstalled my news module...reinstalled it and all my data with reference to the News module got deleted.

Fortunately I have a a Backup of sorts...I had exported from MYsql the data and tables awhile ago.....

I sifted through the very long text file and isolated the three areas I absolutely need...and created three seperate text files for import....
xoops_topics
Xoops_stories
Xoops_spotlight
Unfortunately MySQL front says I cant do it ref: an ini file...(im using ver3.23)

How can I import this important data back?
I use MySQL FRONT.

Any help would be great even I have to use myphpadmin...
Thank you ....

It says I need to upgrade to 2.26? mysql...can this be done without problems? I'm totally lost.....

Whats your platform on the server?

If windows, a simple "read only" on properties should do it...
Other than that if it is not changing....are you trying to do it remotely?

especially in graphically-heavy modules like this forum -- the pages load really slow for me. (off-topic: is there a more stripped-down, faster-loading forums module?)

I find that the images on the forum index are annoying and pretty useless (for me anyways) they never show the correct "latest topic" graphic etc...

Im considering just modifying the template and basically taking out that whole left column...
But will it freak because of the php script?

Ill advised?
Thanks

I don't use a module for my top page...
So I guess that why I was curious...
Certainly more static pages such as the new Channels etc. I guess, but It seems like If I choos one module my top page will be off (hypothesis) a bit...??
Thanks for your feedback

Did you ever try Agendax?
Just curious, 'cause thats what I use and I like it.
And was wondering some specific differences. I looked at it though... you found a good one...

Can someone please recommend Cache settings? Which areas are least affected? Which areas are best to Cache and how long is too long?

Thanks,
Been wondering this for a long time…trying to find ways to improve site performance

Check td and tr properties in your themes style sheet...
And...don't know if you just didn't copy it..but here there is a missing opening <div> tag
(I think...my computer eyes may be playing trix!)
And how is p class defined in your sheet?etc.

Hope that gets you started...
It could just be the cell padding in the css even...
