Need Help with NewBB Block

Hey everybody - Ok I'm outta my PHP league:

Would some be kind enough to help me write a light weight forum block?

The "light" one that comes with Newbb still takes up too much real estate.

I am thinking of something like this...

Resized Image

This would essentially be:

Board -> Topic -> Original Poster (# of posts on that topic)

Thanks in advance,

Dan (dlh)

MODULE IDEA: Bad Bot Trapping!

I noticed some spam bots ALREADY hitting my new site!

I did some searching on how to automagically refuse these bots and thought it would make a great module, or addition to the core.

Check out:

http://www.kloth.net/internet/bottrap.php

and tell me what you think?

Please don't forget that there are 185 modules and a couple hundred themes (!) listed on the XOOPS Sourceforge site

http://sourceforge.net/projects/xoops/

More modules and themes are being released every day so make sure you do a search for the most recent.

This thread, and the attitude it displays makes me really proud and excited to be on the XOOPS Core Team.

Everybody should stay tuned...Xoops is about an eyelash away from becoming a truly mainstream opensource project like OSCommmerce and OpenOffice.

Thanks from the Product Development team for all your hard work...keep it coming.

Can you feel the momentum!?!

IMHO,

There is nothing wrong with offering to pay for services rendered. There is nothing wrong with getting payed for services rendered.

Xoops is a great product, but like all opensource projects, they move a varying rate of development speed. Sometimes for a corporate site, you have to pay to get things done in a way that is timely for business and is worthwhile for the developer.

On the other side of the coin, if someone *solely* charges for services and not giving anything back of significance to the *free* community, then you are not adopting the spirit of opensource.

Xoops is a great business tool - if everybody gives a little - we all get alot!

This is great!

Is there a way to set this so that it only pulls up a random include file once per day? Say for features of the day and so forth.

Will FreeContent 3.0 display RSS feeds?

I love the aggregator in FreeContent, but don't want to use both Headlines and Freecontent. It'd be great if it would do both.

Thanks.

Addition:

This 644 output error is occurring regardless of whether or not the data is stored in database or in directory.

Furthermore, insertion of image results in placeholder rather than image when viewed.
