Back again.

Installed my html site flawlessly with auth(e) and it all works perfectly - including external links!! - thanks.

Only 'issue' was that the button in the menu wais titled "Auth...." with a string of obscure characters following.

Finally found the FAQ for the module covers this - tho isn't exactly clear.. and now the button title reflects the content. :)

Still thanks for the help... seriously!... and now it's back on with trying to sort content out... gawd.

You may want to look at this Faq Page for further suggestions on how to do this.

HTH.

Gawd how did I miss that? I thought I'd looked at evey html related page in the FAQ.

By the way - I was originally going to use the dictionary module to enter all the words individually but was unable to make it accept any content.

Sorry.... and thanks... will be back for more no doubt :)

Original site is at Talk Tidy,

The new install is here at the Xoops Version

It's basically a dictionary so has less than 30 pages.

I've tried CJ Content 3 and TinyContent but CJ is no longer supported on-site, and I can't get TinyContent to do anything. So far I've not been able to even get the menu module to link direct to one page.

I'll need to be able to modify the linkages so people can get to and from the individual pages.. so was considering maybe combining the entire thing into a single page with a table at the top with all the letters linked to place holders at each relevant point.

Trouble is this seems wildly inelegant...

.. so if anyone can come up with another html module, or a straightforward way of doing this (so it looks good... and is within my capabilities... such as they are) I'll be really grateful. Once this part is done think I can go 'live' :)

You're doing better than me - I can't even get the module recognised. DO I have run an install script or something to get it to function?

Chose eznews as theme for my Talk Tidy site.

Trouble is I can't work out how to fill the spaces marked 'empty cell' each side of the header.

I thought perhaps if I edit the theme.html part of the theme, and added images, they'd show up in place of the text.

Didn't work tho so I have no idea what modifiers I need :(.

Thing is I'd like to alter a couple of the buttons too but if they don't appear as a result of 'theme.html' where are they coming from? There are only a couple of files that make up the entire theme so I'm stuck.

Suggestions welcome :)

How odd... replied to brash and my response was thrown out three times!

(Hmmm... I wonder if it's Zonealarm again... if you see this then it was cos I just closed it!)

Anyway, was just saying I got it all working by deleting the entire thing and reinstalling.

I knew it *should* work - I've used it before and know how good it is. In fact it has one of the best installers of all the CMS's out there.

Also said thanks for the support - good to know you're there! :)

No doubt will drop back in while configuring errors crop up.

Thanks guys.

Chris

read the FAQ section or search the site for blank page.. there are many topics covering it and the FAQ section has a whole section dedicated to troubleshooting

Looked at the FAQ and followed the instructions... changed error reporting to E_ALL.... then added a .htaccess file in same directory as index.php and got a blank page.

I am assuming the 'errors' would show up on the page I'm viewing... but nothing appears.

The FAQ basically says to add it wherever there is a problem but since I can see nothing, I can't tell if it's *really* at the entry point that the error lies.

Stuck :(

Installed 2.0.1.0 and it all went perfectly - except there is a blank page when I load index.php

Why isn't it working... and what should I do first to get at the site? :)
