Hello,

I installed the OpenID module, but got the following error when I tested it -

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/jigjakc/public_html/modules/openid/index.php on line 14

I am on XOOPS 2.0.16.

Any idea on how I can resolve this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Abu

Same here under XOOPS 2.0.17.1. How about it, Sakimura, what's up?

Be carefull with eXtCal.

In dev. version 2.1.6 multiple XSS vulnerabilities have been found. See bug-report.

I asume that previous versions have these probs too.

Make sure you have Protector installed anyway!!

That's discouraging news. Unfortunately though, if you want a calendar, there's just not much choice except for piCal which I've tried numerous times and always wind up deleting.

Sure hope zoullou gets this thing fixed and keeps improving it.

Xoops Donation Page w/links to All Potential Donatees

In most cases module developers do what they do in their spare time, and many seek and need donations to help. A central location for all of these links would make it easier for everyone to make donations on a regular basis which would, in turn, ensure the longevity, support, and continued development of important projects.

I think it would be very helpful to have a page on Xoops.org where all developers could post their donation links, perhaps organized by module or other contribution. Then, it would be easy to go to the page every month and pick out someone to donate to based upon what modules you want to see supported and developed or which ones you have used the most that month, or whatever. If every XOOPS user would do this every month and make a small donation to someone, even if it's just $2 - $5, then developers of their favorite modules would be better able to support and update their modules.

The way I see it working is this: We would go to the donation page every month, or whenever, look at the list of potential donatees, and pick one based upon whatever criteria is most important to us at that time. Maybe we'll pick a module because that one was more important to our site that month, or maybe we'll pick one because we haven't donated to it in a while and think we should, or maybe we'll choose based upon whom we think needs it the most. It doesn't matter why we pick a module but that we do. Then, we would click the link to the donatee's personal donation page, and, in just a minute or two, and very inexpensively considering the value we have received, we would have accomplished a very important task.

This page should, in my opinion, be on Xoops.org.

My site is not live, and I hadn't any entries in this field. I thought this was a good place to start, so I put "88.240.*" in the Bad IPs field. When the page refreshed, this field displayed as follows:

88.240.*:2147483647

It displays this whether you put in "88.240." or "88.240.*".

What are these extra characters? Is this proper?

The Captcha Module displays this message to the user:

I would like to change the wording so the text is more grammatically correct but I can't find where the text is stored.

I see that your question has been answered, but in the future, why don't you use InfoRapid Search & Replace:

http://www.inforapid.de/html/searchreplace.htm

It is free for non-commercial use and inexpensive otherwise. With it you can search for a word, words, or phrase in an entire directory and quickly find things like that which you are asking about here. It is very useful for other things, too. I use it and like it a lot.

Just a thought.

There seem to be a lot of problems with 2.0.18. That's why I'm still using 2.0.17.1 and don't plan to upgrade anytime soon.
