The installation has also been tested successfully with [ubuntu/Centos + nginx + php-fpm + APC + memcache] stack.

If you have tested with any different stack, please report your status to help improve the installation.

You might wanna check the user app and ACL in Xoops Engine or X3.
We are uploading X3 to sourceforge. Docs are not complete at this moment but hopefully there will be dev guide very soon.

I am cleaning the new Xoops Engine (or X3) code.
Hopefully it will be ready for community development and X3 site will also be set up.

It will cause problems if cache is enabled.
Cached is checked in Xoops header.php partially depending on $xoopsOption['template_main'].
Thus if $xoopsOption['template_main'] is assigned after header.php, cache will not be checked correctly.

Cache mechanism is changed in X3 though.

Do you have any specific business logic for the specific group?
If not, perhaps it is easier to change the name of 'registered user' instead of creating a new group.
