Hello folks,
I have tried most of the content modules but none frame external content/sites into the center container. X-Center opens it in a separate window. Is anyone using something successfully for this purpose under XOOPS 2.5.5?

Thanks

Let me temper my over-excitement here with out reneging on the praise. While the list looks nice, there doesn't seem to be any download mechanism.

Maybe the veteran developers/coders/CMS pros might have an advantage in Joomla, but then again these would have equal advantage in XOOPS world too. But in my experience a noob just starting out in Joomla is at a significant security disadvantage than a noob just starting out in XOOPS. I concur with Wishcraft. See you on he rebound.

This is awesome Mamba! It will save much time attempting to find latest versions in user search (or WOX archive mongering).

Thanks.
Found no logfiles. What path is the debug mode log stored under?

Yes, I did turn off protector even before I opened this thread (to disable bad upload feature). Forgot to list it with the other things I tried above. Just tried it again but....

same error.

The message indicates it is seeing them as a invalid file. Is there somewhere that filetype extensions get declared (i.e. jpg|gif|png)? Maybe something is not set there? I did not find any related settings so far.

hey zyspec,

Yes -avatar folders and everything recommended at install.

Yes -same failure for both modes, however under avatar admin interface, it says the usual database updated and LOOKS like it completed, but ftp sees no such file under declared path of xoopspath/uploads/avatars/

Yes -debug mode w/popups enabled. No popups occur when this error is received. I will know if anything is in the php error log shortly.

Also just reinstalled profiles module but same result.

Hello everyone,
Recently updated and avatars fail to upload under the 2.5.5 profile user interface (uploaded as webmaster).

Getting the
Errors Returned While Uploading file: something.jpg Invalid image file
message.

-Image size limit is 35Kb. 120 x 120. Tried jpg, gif, and png "valid" images in compliance with these limits.
-Target folders exist and paths are correct.
-All chmods are set correctly (in and out of root).
-No special .htaccess settings.
-Avatars enabled under user system preferences
-Avatars enabled under group rights settings

But still craps out.

Whats up with this?

What do you mean by no post? Since in many systems, anonymous user groups do not have posting privileges so they might end up in the "banned" user group.

Or did you mean those who refuse to post... like they are only there to quietly take notes and report on what others are posting?

Where is the file located, inside the xoops path?

It would be worth a look at your inteneded service area... do you just want your site to serve a region such as United States and Canada, or just europe, but you are getting lots of spam from locations irrelevant to your service area like Nigeria or Argentina?. Then you could go the LARGE htacces route and filter out (or filter in) IP address ranges of entire nations, or group of nations. blockacoutry.com used to provide the entire htaccess code with IP data by nation but I just checked and it seems like they are having a little bit of trouble staying online. I once blocked out all of Ukraine this way, as it was a beehive of spam.
