We have upgraded XOOPS on SourceForge to their new platform: Allure.

As a result, our SVN has moved to a new location at:
http://sourceforge.net/p/xoops/svn/10189/tree/

All developers who commit code to XOOPS SVN should:

- do a fresh checkout using the new repository location:

svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/xoops/svn/ xoops-svn

- commit any new code there

Thanks for your support on this!

the correct way to checkout is from this URL:
svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/xoops/svn/ xoops-svn

do we have access?
I receive this when i want to commit.

Access to '/p/xoops/svn/!svn/act/**************8' forbidden*/

ok i can access just need to login to the sf.net and get the correct svn path :d

Sidenotes:
- the new svn have more features but I dont like the new interface. it is pain slow with all JQuery and html5 functionality.
1 click take 2 minutes for me in the new SVN. i really cannot use that.

- i dont know how to find the permanent link to a branch? i mean a link to the latest revision of that branch ( Head)

IMO the new face is really a nightmare for low internet connection people like me.

This is awesome Mamba! It will save much time attempting to find latest versions in user search (or WOX archive mongering).

Let me temper my over-excitement here with out reneging on the praise. While the list looks nice, there doesn't seem to be any download mechanism.

Yes. i cannot find any too.
IMO nice looking features are for users not coders and developers.
I have many troubles with this new SVN.
Do we have anyway to have a simple SVN or disable js in the current one and can work with it?

It's already reported on SourceForge, and I've added extra comment.

Let's hope, it will be fixed soon.

I don't think so, but please report it on SourceForge.
I am investigating Git on SourceForge - maybe we'll need to switch to Git and see if this will be faster for updates.

huum I dont browse Git but it seems there is no difference between Git and Allura.
The new SVN is more secure but IMO the simplicity is everything.

svn+ssh will provide faster performance than https. This should be used whenever possible.

I update the svn for newbb and the fastest method to browse is this one:
svn.code.sf.net/p/xoops/svn/XoopsModules/newbb/branches/irmtfan/newbb
but there is no way to download as a tar file.

Allura is the new "Forge application" on SourceForge.

Git and SVN are both version control repositories. We are currently using SVN, but we might activate Git and use it, if this proves to be faster/easier to use.

I'd like to recommend XOOPS seriously consider Git. I believe Git's API can give us the ability to write a few 'easy' modules to be able to let users add bug reports and feature requests more easily. If I'm right, and I might not be, we should be able to generate reports/requests from the XOOPS site without requiring XOOPS users to create a Sourceforge account - which they really don't need unless they're a developer.

Allure has an API too, so it's better than what we had before but still not quite up to Git's API.

Git's API should allow us to be able to 'creatively' use XOOPS groups to display blocks with recent Git activity, open issues, etc. for people in the "developer" groups (core, module, theme, etc) without providing unnecessarily complicated information to users who don't have a need to know. We'd need to check into this further before switching ( in other words - don't take my word for it before switching )

Just my $0.02 ...
