Re: xlanguage module question

Quote:

I have created two base languages, english and swedish

and I have made the block visible
I also have added [sv]text[/sv][en]english text[/en] in some blocknames and modules names

But I don't get the flags to click on in the language block.

After updating common.php as mentioned in Installation instructions, u have to note some things:

1. XLanguage 2.06 (latest used by XOOPS Tranlsations members) does not work on 2.2.x core.
1.1. XLanguage 2.06 cant maintain site in 2 base languages with different charsets, eg. ISO-8859-5 and UTF-8.
Temp SOLUTION: Edit xoops_root/language/english/global.php latest line, change charset iso8859-1 to UTF-8.

Temp SOLUTION 2: If u're using old XOOPS translation, placed here in the downloads section, u can try to make it with both charsets ISO8859-1 (not tested).

For Swedish language - our incomplete UTF-8 will be released this days on our project page, use it with caution. Incompleted cos lack of interests for this language from your country mans, 6 swedish translators and they sleeps from year.

Swedish use country FLAG 'se' not 'sv'.

Do not use Country FLAGS in your Language block, some "profesional" HSP (Hosting providers) do not compile and use PHP with GD2 support. From Administration/Blocks edit Language block, and turn the drop down menu from the block options.

I think this will solve your problems (partialy).

XOOPS & Latest WAMP

There is a lot of reported bugs by Bulgarian and some Indonesian users of WAMP.

Latest version of WAMP, features latest (testing, and not used but anyone PHP5, MySQL 5) so please before posting anything here on XOOPS.ORG or XOOPSCube.org, check your PHP/Mysql versions.

XOOPS 2.0.13.2, XOOPS 2.0.13a (JP), XOOPS Cube 2.1 DR, XOOPS 2.2.3a not work on latest WAMP.

XOOPS.ORG years ago, maded an exellent tool for testing new versions and modules, it's called XSAS, last version can be downloaded fromhttp://XSAS.SourceForge.NET.

Also several times I write the same and the same times, one thing. Before to post bug reports, and debug messages, please follow this few steps, it's easy to be remebered, and very easy for someone from here (developer or user) to give u advice. So, with the steps:

Hi (dear, with or without no matters)
I have the following problem with my XOOPS and this module-name-version.

I'm using:

Enviroment: Linux 2.0/2.2/2.4/2.6; Windows 98, SE, XP etc.
PHP Version: x.x
MySQL Version: x.x
Apache Version: (or whatever HTTPD u're using)
Perl (is optional) but some modules required too
Python (optional)
XOOPS Version:
(Maded custom hacks)
Module Version:

The problem:

DEBUG Log:

So whith this information u will get your desired answer faster.

Topics like this one, are useless to me, useless to the community, even useless to the author, cos no one can give him advice what to do, to get it operational.

So please, understand me, XOOPS/Cube developers, we are not Jedi knights to "see" somehow where are u installin their products XOOPS/Cube.

Thanks for Reading this.

Re: PostNuke 0.7.5.0, 0.7.6.1 to XOOPS 2.2.3a/2.0.13.2

Daniel wont share his databases, can u check this with example site created with PN 0.7.6.1.

Yesterday I've got a second question to my e-mail regarding PHP-Nuke to XOOPS conversion ?

In short:

Todor Kirilov wrote:

Is it possible to convert current (http://www.bg-history.info/) PHP-Nuke based site to XOOPS 2.0/2.2 ?

Probably he dont know English, and try our forums at unofficial BG support site on www.xoopsbg.org. So if u can help me (him) I will translate the answers to him.

PostNuke 0.7.5.0, 0.7.6.1 to XOOPS 2.2.3a/2.0.13.2

Yesterday one of our (Bulgarian) users ask me interesting question.

The question is:

Is it possible to convert and move from PostNuke 0.726, 0.750, 0.7.6.1 to XOOPS 2.0.13.2 (favorite one) and XOOPS 2.2.3a ?

The sites currently used PN with Swedish & Bulgarian (CP1251) translations. So if XOOPS can covert and take over PostNuke sites, my work will be to release and CP1251 translations.

Thanks in advance.

Hm pitty, this website is temporary(?) down, which makes downloading impossible at this moment.

I can provide a link to it (mirror), someone of the admins of XOOPS-Mexico, decides to move from 2.0 to 2.2, and they will have a lot of time to move it.

Here is the mirror on

Re: multimenu - Standard Menu Block Format problem

Both modules versions 1.74/1.75 are reported allready as incompatible with XOOPS 2.2.3a/2.0.13.2.

Use mutiMenu 1.74 from Mithrandir module packs for XOOPS 2.2, u can see it in action on beta.pzcci.org - this is 2.2.3a, whith multimenu 1.74 hacked by Mithrandir to make it compatible with XOOPS 2.2.3a.
