Re: Random pic module?

Pod that rid script looks good, could it be used to have random background images, or is that just stupid talk? ;o)

Re: Problem with google adsense

Ok maybe the ads I create are longer because of "custom pallettes" they show link, text, url, border and background colours in the code.

I can't remember what the default google ad pallette looks like, maybe that code is the default code?

My code has these extra lines

google_color_border = "336699";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "0000FF";
google_color_text = "000000";
google_color_url = "008000";

Cheers ;o)

Re: Problem with google adsense

Just a question, the code you pasted above, isn't the full code is it, eg. the code you paste in the block should have a bit more to it.

Have you shortened the code for posting in this forum or is that code above the actual code you are pasting in the block.

Sorry just wanted to clarify because adsense works fine for me using the html option. When I create the same sized ad as you have it has a few more lines to it, this is why I wanted to clarify.

Cheers ;o)

Re: Frameworks and Xoopseditor, wha happen?

Pretty much definately any of phppp's modules, as for the others I really am not sure. I do however think that all these things are getting us ready for 2.3, therefore Frameworks for instance is helping to bring the 2.0 and 2.2 branches together.

This is just my understanding I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong ;o)

Re: layout problem Article 1.0

If I am understanding you correctly, you don't want those things, if that's the case maybe another module would be better for what you want to do, those things are what makes article the module that it is.

Maybe the "news module" or the "content module" may be a better choice. I have just installed the "news module" on another site so I am not familiar with it yet, it may have similar features, although it does seem to have lots of options in the admin to turn things on and off. I am not overly familiar with the "content module" either.

I suggest it may be best to try a few modules and see what suits you best. If you are good at the PHP stuff, I suppose anything is possible, I am not, so I try many modules to find what's best for what I want to do. ;o)

Re: How do i add a module and theme to my admin menu from the website?

Maybe you should read something like this, it may explain the basics for you. It's kinda expected that you know the basics and this info can be found all over the net and probably here an XOOPS many times over.

I get the feeling you have installed via CPanel (correct me if I am wrong), CPanel is quite handy for certain things like backing up database etc, but I hardly use it for anything else these days but that's just me anyway.

Start from the start and learn the basic terms and procedures, your host can also help you and usually has basic help pages for beginners.

This is one example of many ;o)

FTP'ing

that will explain a few things for you I hope. Search XOOPS and search the net, you will find everything you need, Google is your friend.

Cheers!

Oh by the way you will have to ask siteground any specific questions you have for them.

Hang in there, you will look back at this one day and laugh I promise you, I know I did. It's like anything once you know what you're doing it's a piece of cake.
