thxz bender and Jenclass between you for ruining XOOPS for me and others

To the contrary. Both Bender's and Jenclass's help XOOPS users dozens of times a day. Its is thanks to the selfless contributions of such volunteers that new XOOPS users receive help and XOOPS content is correctly moderated.

I hope you understand that what ruins an open source spirit and discourages valuable volunteers such as these is personal attacks such as yours.

Please excuse my bluntness: this is not the correct medium to have a personal fit as it contributes nothing to XOOPS but merely alienates valuable volunteers and new XOOPS users who stumble on such posts. Some maturity and constraint is well advised here.

Need we not be reminded by past users such as LazyBadger who went down the same road you did and lost us some good people along the way.

Xoops if you understand the core code is made of flipping hacks in the first place and loads of them, if it wasnt for new and innovative ideas XOOPS wouldnt be here.

I'm worry Wiz but I have to disagree with you on that comment as I think you lack knowledge on the subject matter. The XOOPS core (2.0.x branch) contains some of the most coherent, well structured and best thought out php code I have seen in years. Even more so when compared to Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, Nuke cores.

I am sure if you study the kernel core classes more closely you will agree.

Personally I would stick with mySQL 4.x as I have experienced issues with some modules.

mySQL would offer you the best compatibility with existing modules.

This is someone trying to hack your XOOPS but not succeeding. This is normal and best described as normal "background radiation" of the web (ie there are lots of script kiddies that have scripts that check websites for vulnerabilities).

If you server software is upto date as is your XOOPS then you have little to worry about.

Not natively. There is, however, a patch for 2.2.4 here.

Let me wish you all the best in your venture.

I would, however, like to give you some advise.

Your website uses the blue_shine theme, a freely available theme from XoopsDesign.com. I notice that you've replaced the original copyright by xoopsdesign.com with your own.

I am assuming here that you have contacted XoopsDesign for their permission to remove their copyright from their theme.

I only mention this because designers (and their supporters) get very upset when their freely available themes are used, re tagged/re branded and passed along as someone else's creation. Especially if you are marketing yourself as a Graphics & Web Designer.

Again. I wish you the best of luck.

Hi there.

I could swear that a watermark feature is available in xcGallery 2.05.

disable the right click and save photo option.

Groan... this is annoying at best and very ineffective . There are so many ways to defeat this: drag image off the page, disable java in browser, view source and download image directly, use Firefox and PageInfo page to download image directly from there...... the list goes on...
