Bender:
I have a mainfile from the host transfer back up. Along with the whole database. But I've put the file that contains the XOOPS info onto the server. I've imported the database and both of these are good files as I said from a March backup. Nothing works. I am nuts about it.

Well when I moved from one host to the next they made a back up of the entire account that this site is hosted upon. I used the back up (from March) and uploaded it and the sql file. Now that everything is up loaded I get this error message when I type in the URL Quote:
This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.
If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.
Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34
.

I'm kinda lost at this point. I'm just pooped several hours into this and nothing has worked. With no manipulation to the site whatsoever by ADMIN then to see there is just the opening module and no XOOPS framework, I'm puzzled as to how this happened.

nope cleared bridge/templates_c and now all I get is a blank page. Something seriously has gone wrong. I have a back up that I know is good from March. Can I just back up the contents of the file that contains the XOOPS installation and leave the SQL database the way it is?

Again,

I didn't change anything thing at all on this site. I added a user, then I put him in the correct user group. Which doesn't allow access to any part of the site that deals with administrations

Resized Image

This is a screenshot of the Templates_C folder. I'm guessing I let one of the guys have to much in terms of permissions and something got screwed up.

You said Quote:
delete everithig into the folders cache and templates_c
did you mean delete everything IN THESE FOLDERS?

As for what I did? Nothing I added a user 3 days ago and the site was fine. As I said I've got someone with probably more permissions than they need. I just finally got to the admin screen (not the back end though) I can't get to the backend or administrative stuff at all to look at permissions.

Please someone visit www.thomaschart.org/bridge and tell me what the hell is going on?

Keep in mind I went and saw this little bits and pieces of what remains of a site. Then I went to cpanel and did the upgrade thing, thinking that would do it. It didn't I had to empty the database, reload the back up and the sql.backup and still I get this #OOPS#.

Please help, my clients are gonna freak!!!!

Help fast...

I looked throught the calendar section and actually installed the Eguide to try and accomplish the same thing. I'm a production manager for a night club with bands. I need to post the acts coming through and the particular crew members (lights, monitors, sound) assign their name to the show. For instance.

Fri 4/21/06: Underoath (Act)
Lighting: William
Sound: Ted
Monitors: Ray

Here is what I need the module to be able to do.

* I need to be able to post the event date by name of the act.
* I need registered users to be able to assign their name to the gig with the title of their position (lights, sound, monitors).

* Obviously I need to post details about the event like Load-in time and any extra accomadations.

I really need to create the event and have the users (Techs) sign up for the event. Thereby filling the positions that need filled for that evening. I've tried agendaX, eGuide and neither of those are appropriate.

Can anyone help?

The XOOPS program is part of the fantastico suite. So therefore I cannot check these things. Any information I might pass onto my support team from the company (seems like a one man show) I get my reseller hosting.

They seem clueless and outsource they're tech support to India and only offer support via Online Chat and email. Also the "auto installation" from the Fantastico Suite gave this message when I re installed it again...

Warning: fread(): Length parameter must be greater than 0. in /tmp/cpanel.victor.1139452406.26995 on line 1295
