Hi chardiar,

Adding the URL http://youtube.com/watch?v=UfPoVS5uqYY does work.

What does not work is if I add the embed code given next to the YouTube video as the URL-

Search engines may think www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com are two different sites.

You should set up a permanent redirect (technically called a "301 redirect") between these sites. Once you do that, you will get full search engine credit for your work on these sites. By correctly configuring a permanent 301 redirect, the search rankings might improve as all inbound links are correctly counted for the website.

Hi amudee,

First, I had to increase the YouTube URL text box length as the YouTube video URL was too long. Then I added the video URL, on my site, but don't see the video loaded.

I am using the Yogurt Social Network 2.9 BETA on my production site and did add the user page on one of the tabs. You will have to add the following code on yogurt_navbar.html in the template folder:

I am having an issue with adding Videos from YouTube, does anyone have that working?

Hello,

I am looking for a XOOPS module that has the capability for the members to recommend/invite their friends to join the site.

It would be great if the module could incorporate a page to allow users to email multiple recepients at a time, maybe lookup the address from Outlook, Yahoo or Google address book and pre-populate them on the email address text field that can be sent out asking them to join their network.

Please let me know if you are aware of such a module beside the 'Tell a friend' module.

I would recommend using this excellent module called 'Happy Search' which is much better that the standard XOOPS search and also allows you include/exclude a module in the search through the admin page.

Hi,

Here is how I did it on the weblinks page -

1) Added two buttons with the following links

/modules/weblinks/ratelink.php?lid=<{$link.lid}>&rating=10&submit=yes

/modules/weblinks/ratelink.php?lid=<{$link.lid}>&rating=-1&submit=yes

2) Modified the ratelink.php page to retrieve the URL parameters and record the vote.
