Hi again :)

Thanks for confirming this is an issue.

I hand entered my posts information into my database to correct the error. It has now occurred again. It seems to coincide with a bogus registration by what I would call a spam bot that posts in the comment section of my news stories in my News module.

This bot just recently came and left a couple of post and lo and behold I have the -1 posts again.

I tried the script and it seemed to work well on the lower level post, but as for my posts (350+) it only restored that count to about 160.

Does anyone have a way to prevent this from happening yet? Can anyone confirm that it is linked to bot spam?

Just found this thread.....it is the same guy that I referred to as a spam bot. go herehttps://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=59144&forum=7

Hi Biteronboard

The posts field in what I guess would be a basic XOOPS db table are all set to -1. The db table is user_profile. All 200+ entries in that table have the posts = -1.

I know that recently in the last week or so that this was not this way.

I noticed the issue first while perusing my forum which is cbb 3.01.

I assume I can go to a recent DB backup and restore the posts field, but I am curious as to what caused this.

UPDATE:

I have found an old db backup that has the correct number of posts listed. The question is now, how do I go about inserting the data from the old db for the posts field into my current db?

Thanks for the help.

xcgallery 2.03 video thumbs?

Hi all

I am currently running XOOPS 2.0.16. I have experience with coppermine bridged to XOOPS on one of my sites.

I have a new site in which i just installed xcgallery 2.03. In the coppermine bridged version the way to get thumbs to show for a video is to add thumb_ manually to a thumbnail with the same name as the video file.

For example

Video file = video.wmv
Thumb for video would be thumb_video.jpg

This procedure does not seem to work with xcgallery. Does anyone know if there is a way to get a thumb to show for a video?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick response. I will give your suggestion a try tomorrow

Still wondering if a sitemap plugin can be made to accomplish this?

Hi all

Is it possible to make a plugin for the sitemap module that would map a coppermine photo gallery that is bridged to xoops?

I have searched and I see only plugins relating to other XOOPS modules.

If this is not possible with the sitemap module then can anyone reccommend a module or a method for making a sitemap of my site including my coppermine gallery?

Hi all

Is anyone getting any reports from visitors of IE7 not working well with the XOOPS banner ads?

I have had at least one visitor claim that they get a blank page when they click on the banner ad on my site while using IE7.

I have no problems with IE6 or firefox and neither does the visitor.

Was just wondering if any others had encountered this issue.

Also can I have ie6 and ie7 on one machine at the same time so I can test this?

Just realized I posted this in the wrong place . I meant to put it in the Q & A forum. Could someone please move it when possible. Sorry for the trouble.

Anyone able to explain in a bit more detail exactly what changes coopersita made to get her method to work?

I have tried to follow her directions but I am afraid I do not have enough knowledge to pull it off from the information that is given in the post.

Hi unhardcore

Thanks for taking a look at this issue.

I replaced the code you quoted with the following
#bottomLcolumn
{
width50%;
padding0px 3px 0px 0px;
}

#bottomRcolumn
{
width50%;
padding0px 3px 0px 0px;
}

However it did not correct the situation. I also completely removed the code and noticed no changes. It is like that code is being ignored for some reason.

Any other ideas unhardcore?

Thanks for pointing out the firefox issue with the top menu. I will have to tackle that after this issue is resolved.

EDIT: I found the problem....was missing a dang {.
Thanks to all that looked at this issue. Just proves that many hours on the same issue can become counter productive.
