While searching around the google, I found this script which does exactly what I am looking for.

But unfortunately, it’s for IPB only. Does anyone here know any such script that can be used with XOOPS or as stand alone???

I have searched google but can’t find there. Someone might have used any such thing. SO just looking for the guideline.

Is there any good known script (Free of course) that can be used to refer users to the website. With few information.

That which user redirect how many users.

Something that I see on many sites.
Like domain.com/refer.php-ID=xxx where xxx is user id and a place that shows how many refer this user has made.
A way to see top 10 Referrals.

Need your suggestions.

This follows the true spirit of the XOOPS community ethos. The new docs system will support this fully, by allowing users to submit, ammend and contribute changes to documentation.

That sounds great.
It like a "Beginner's Guide from a Beginner's point of view"

Consider me as a volunteer for this. My studies schedule is tough but i will love to help the community.

Sorry if i sound odd, but i was not requiring anything. (i know i cant being nobody)
What I was trying to say is, sometimes the questions that new users ask are module related and they are so obvious. So it will be a better thing if a "Read me" is included in module where people could have the basics of how to use that module. For just an example, when I used news module I don’t know what difference it make with “Publish in Home?” set to yes or no.

we can not enforce devs to add due documentation within their module's packages.

But we can request them to give some /how to/help about the settings/prefrences of the module.

I am just putting a request by sharing my thoughts.

Xoops is not easy to configure for beginners because of this.

I doubt that. I don’t know anything about programming but still I am able to run the site successfully. And that’s only because of this great helping community.

It happens that sometime you get a late response for your question but that’s how it works.

I will like to raise an issue here. (If my words could make any difference)

Most of the modules don’t come with any instructions so to use them is really a hard job. You need hours or sometimes days to actually know how to get what you want. So it should be made necessary for every module developer to write a proper “Read Me” from a Beginner's point of view. I think that it will solve most of the problems that I see in forum everyday.

I few days back, News module's documentation was made available. It will be great if all other modules get the same treatment. Like Download, Forum, Section etc.

I hope devs will consider this request.
Lets hope for the best.
