Hi, I want to have different news topics and set different permissions for each topic (only allow registered users to submit things into certain topics and make it so their submissions must be approved before being displayed on the site) and I would like to be able to display each different topic on different pages rather than all on the main news page. Can I do all this with the default news module or will I need something else? Thanks.
I am looking for something similar to a forum but different. I would like to have a section where only webmasters or other designated groups can post a topic and then all other users can reply but not start their own, similar to this site
OK, I've kind of got it working. It looks right in internet explorer, but in firefox the big letter still appears, I have tried clearing my cache but its still happening, any ideas?
Hi, I want to change the news module so that the first character is just a capital letter rather than the big bold character that is there at the moment, how can I do it? Thx:)
I have xcgallery running on my site and it all works except the ecards function. Ive read the comments on the module and it looks like a lot of people have had the problem, but no solution for it. Has anyone got it working?
I just get the message
Sorry but the server can't send your e-card...

I have recently set up XOOPS and everything seems to be running fine, however one person I have asked to help me test the site has been complaining of getting messages saying he does not have permission to do anything (I even had to register for him as he claims he was getting the message even at that point) the site seems to be working fine for everyone else, could there be a browser setting or something that is causing it? thx
i have set the default comment view to flat in the general settings so the forums appear flat to anonymous users, however i cant get the forums to display as flat for the regular users and webadmins, anyone know how i can change it? thanks
