Thanks for the SmartClient suggestion. This is much closer to what I am looking for. There are few things missing like fax # and job title which would be helpful. But considering it is v1 and released today I'm sure there are great things to come. Got to love XOOPS!!!!!!!!!!Ask and you will recieve. : )

I have all my account information in a MySQL d-base that I created using myphp. My goal is to have a module that I can install on my site that will store this information. I am happy to port the data into the module. There must be others out there that have a need to store this type info. What are some other's solutions to this glut of content??? Thanks enveryone!!!!

Is anyone working on a detailed contacts address book with the following fields?

first
last
company
title
address
city
state
zip
phone
fax
cell
phone2
email
site
info
IM
date

I have addresses 1.5 installed but is a bit limiting having the contact and company name in the same field.

editing home page content

I've got my XOOPS site working and have figured out how to create news articles and links but can't find where to edit content on the home page. I entered text on setup but can't find where to edit or add to it.

I'm also interested in utilizing rss feeds. Where should I look for this documentation? I tried a few things in the headlines module but that does not seem to work for me. Is that the module used to pull feeds?

Interesting note: I work for Time Inc. and we've been porting sites to our cms system created using vignette. We still are not done creating the templates and the gui and workflow is frightning.

It's taken me one weekend to get XOOPS installed and working on my hosting account. (I'm a complete rooky at installing server apps). I can't wait to show some people how simple this can be done.

Keep up the great work!

I'd like to get involved in some developement once I find a good fit.

Thanks for your note. I figured out the issue. I orginally installed the latest version which is beta. I removed all those files and reinstalled ver. xoops-2.0.7.3. It works great now.

I've been looking for an online cms that I could administer and XOOPS looks like it. I'm in the process of re-engineering my site & d-bases.

Xoops will make my online publishing much easier and dynamic.

No more hand coding!
