Hi gang,
I made my own favicon.ico using AWicons Lite, and replaced the XOOPS favicon in the root HTML directory, just like the instructions say to do. But when I load my site in Firefox, I still get the XOOPS favicon. When I load it in IE, I just get the generic IE favicon. Could there be something wrong with my folder permissions? Do I have to update a module via XOOPS Admin? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Has there been any progress on making a slightly simpler way to offer SSL login? I have purchased and installed SSL for my entire site, but am having difficulties getting this thing to work. I changed my mainfile.php to
define ('XOOPS_URL', 'https://www.beerloverseverywhere.com'), so that every page should be secure, and now some of my images aren't showing up. ??? There has to be an easier way to do this.

I searched FAQ's and didn't come up with a solution. Help!

Hi gang,
I'm using myAlbum 2.75 and it always adds a backslash in front of a single quote ['] in the picture description. How can I make it quit?
Thanks!

Hi gang, I am having trouble getting a center-left block and center-right block to come before the center-center blocks on my home page. I have given the center-center blocks a higher weight (weights 3 and 4) than the center-left and center-right blocks (weight 2) but it doesn't seem to help. Any advice?

Thanks!

Why is it so necessary to get rid of that message? The RSS file is meant to be read by a RSS newsreader (or similar app such as the XoopsHeadlines module) and not directly in the browser.

A user will see the RSS button and say, "Hey, what will happen if I click this thingy?" And when they click the button, they will get the aforementioned message and a mess of xml code with the tags exposed, and they will say "what is this mess?"

So I guess my question is: what is the point of having a button that links to a messy page, when the user will need a newsreader to properly view the content? Is there some functionality of the button that I am missing?

Forgive my ignorance, I am learning all of this as quickly as I can, considering that my spare time for learning is limited by my job, family, etc. Thanks!

I am getting this error when I click the RSS button in my newbb RC3 forum:

"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

How do I apply a style to the XML file? I am familiar with CSS but am not sure how to link up a CSS file to the XML output.

P.S. I searched the forums and google for this error; all of the things I found were people complaining about this error, but none of the posts had a solution from a developer's standpoint. Thanks for the help!

Okay, I'm a moron and I somehow installed XOOPS so that my site URL doesn't have the "www" in front of it. How do I fix that?

1) is there a DJ/Radio theme availible as i have searched the site but cant realy find one?

I don't know of any theme specifically for radio or DJ. The best thing to do would be to pick a theme that you like, then replace the theme's built-in logo with your own. A lot of the video game themes have a logo that spans the whole width of the theme, so those might be good to try.

2) is there an add-on that will allow for paid subscriptions to the website and can i set each membership level to view parts of the site that say has more content or extra features that non paid members can view?

The only one I know of is aMember Pro. It has a XOOPS plugin. Costs about $180. Google it, it's easy to find.

3) is there a directory plug-in to list all of our members shoutcast radio stations?

Directory? Did you try the Partners module that is included with the XOOPS package?
