you've got to edit the language file of the specific module

What a nice coincedence, I also stummbled on the wiwimod tonight and I just love it ... although using it for a different purpose. Definitely a recommendation!

you can find version 0.7 on his homepage

hmm nice site (didn't know of it's existenz), except that my Russian sucks and I'm missing backend access to really start experimenting

Hope to receive more comments, not only alternatives, but also (dis)advantages of the present review managers.
I'm looking for something distinctly different then 'just' a sample article or howto module. Something with lots of user interaction. Perhaps I'm already answering my own questions? And is WFsection the only solution? But what's the most stable version?

oh ... and in addition ... is there anyway I can reuse newbb2's Karma system for comments to my articles? I know .. it's asking a bit too much. But just wondering if I can make it happen. Or have something like auto generated (by hand is no prob as well but a bit enoying) "discuss in forums" at the bottom of every article.

I'm in need of a review module (again) for several of my sites powered by Xoops, but I haven't found a feasable solution yet.

"What kind of reviews?" PC hardware kind. Multiple pages, , lots of pictures, print previews, user can submit reviews as well.

What I've tried over the past 1.5 years.
- using "news" module for reviews ... nice and clean, but well kinda limited
- wfsection 1.0 ... awesome if you import html files, for text? well kinda buggy
- xfsection! very nice improvements over wfsection ... but not uppercompatible with new wfsection.

I've read that wfsection 2.x has a lot of overhead, but is it still the best solution? And what's the most stable one? 2.01, 2.05a or perhaps 2.07 beta1 (with incoming beta2?)

I got very addicted to SmartFAQ recently (using it on all my sites) ... and then read about SmartSection. Looks nice, but what are the differences with wfsection?

In other words ... what's the most mature review/section with the most and stable options?
Any other comments/tips are welcome as well.

hmm interesting work around. Thanks!

but ... I don't want the entire block up there (just the Q and A ... so no blockname). And I'm not using all block 'positions' yet, but I will when I make progress with site development. Is there an other solution?

It doesn't matter if it gets dirty, aslong as it's functional

From PR/sales point of view @ my site, the random quotes block from SmartyFAQ is a far better solution then using random banners.

I would therefore like to incorparate the content of
<{$xoops_url}>/modules/smartfaq/templates/faqs_random_faq.html
in my site header, but don't have clue how to do it.

I came up with
Quote:

<!-- start randomquote block-->
<{foreach item=block from=$xoops_blocks}> <table class="blok" align="center" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="2">
<{if $block.bid==23}>
<a href='<{$xoops_url}>/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=<{$block.id}>'><{$block.lang_answer}></a>
<{/if}>
</table><{/foreach}>
<!--end randomquote block-->

but it feels like I'm missing a whole bunch of init parameters

Who can help me out?

never mind, solved it!

hmm gijoe seems to a bit right ... you only seem to need tinycontent/ during installation of the cloned modules ( tinycontent*/ )

This immediately explains why the single tinycontent2 on my old domain is still working. ;)

update: oh it seems the duplicatable tiny content I've used for over a year are replaced by TinyD
Might be useful for other users ;)

same problem here :(

ripped tinycontent* from my site with XOOPS 2.0.7.3 to a new site with XOOPS 2.0.9.2 and can't get the thing to work.

Continue to get this error:
Quote:
Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "db:tinycontent_index.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1084

it's not a chmod problem, updated the modules several times, I'm a bit puzzled. :-/ Who can help me out?
