&nbsp;
.

You need to edit the mainfile.php file and put the correct password and user name to access the database. You also need to make sure that the username/password combination have permission to access the database.

The mainfile.php is in the root directory of each of your installations.

Will it disappear if you switch to the default theme.

If so. You will probably find it on the themes/yourtheme/theme.html file.

If not. You will find it in a template that you modified.

I use the vspace and hspace attributes of the image tag along with align left or right. You can do this with most of the wysiwyg editors. This is easier if you are not comfortable with CSS.

Modx, Joomla and Drupal all have rewriting and aliases as a default feature. No need to be a mod_write guru when using any of these frameworks.

Does anyone know how to do this without hacking the core of xoops?

You first have to create a topic and then set that topics permission for each group.
