i have just intalled the new version of XOOPS onto my subdomain and just created a prefix to the database for the new XOOPS . but m´now i have the error that the main site cannot connect to the database . what can i do
please help. site

i have just changed the password of my database and both sites are not working now they cannot connect to the database

You need to edit the mainfile.php file and put the correct password and user name to access the database. You also need to make sure that the username/password combination have permission to access the database.

The mainfile.php is in the root directory of each of your installations.
