Thanks. I like soapbox, except everything is sorted according to the column/columnist.

I was hoping for something that allows registered members to submit an article to a category of their choosing. Conversely, I want users to be able to choose a category, and then see a list of all the articles people have submitted in that category.

The closest things I've seen is the Sections modules that comes with xoops, but it seem to allow only admin to submit an article.

As for Wfsection... it's still bata and, besides, new versions seem to *NOT* be backward-compatible. And I'm not enough of a coder to know how to hack and patch things like that so I really need to stick with stable modules.

Again, thanks for all your help.

I thought about that, but I'm already using it for announcements. Any other modules you'd recommend? Thanks!

Don't need all the bells & whistles.

Just a *stable* module that allows admin to set the categories and then allow users to submit articles to the categories of their choosing.

Visitors can then choose from among the categories and see the list of available articles.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

When I apply the latest session patch (v. 1.3), I can't logon to my site. I would login, see the greeting, then get returned to the hompage as NOT login.

Reloading the session.php from XOOPS 2.0.5.1 fixes the login loop issue, but still leaves the multiple ip issue unaddressed until I applied sklic's patch in this thread.

Well, everything was working great. Then about 30 minutes later, the entire website was gone. Now I can only see the site header and footer. Luckily I still have an active session of was able to access admin. I was going to deactivate the who's online block, but all my blocks are gone too! Yikes.

Thanks for the link, phppp! I have enabled permission and show the block on all pages, and it seems to work now.

Should I still need to add this garbage collector script, which was mentioned in the thread you posted?

Just to clarify...

Right now only admin can acess -- because I want to make sure it's functioning correct first.

Are you saying that the system won't recognized other members or visitors unless they first have access to the block?

Currently it only recognizes the admin as the only person online, regardless of how many others are online simutaneously.

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

upgraded from XOOPS 2.0.1 via various patches to 2.0.5 on *nix share hosting.

My who's online block always show only 1 member -- me! -- even when there are many others on line at the time. Anybody know what's going on. Thanks in advance for your help.

smiley & bb codes don't work in my comment section, even though both boxes are checked. Any ideas? I run XOOPS 2.0.6, which have been updated a number of times from 2.0.1.
