Hello Ackbarr, thanks for your reply.

1) Yes Ackbarr, I can: I would like a homepage with an introduction story about the goal of the website and the foundation I'm making it for.
Perhaps 1 or 2 images and of course a few links in the text. Basically that's all.
After a while, when my forum and articles section are filled a bit, I would like to add a few blocks underneath, just like in the XOOPS homepage.

2) Thank you. That's something I must be capable to do.....

3) You can't know everything. WF sections is a complicated module, documentation is poor.
Anyone else??

Greetings and thnx,

Ronaldus

Hai there,

playing around with XOOPS, I can't figure a few things out:

1) I want to have a nice opening page, without all the standard items (like Rate This, Latest News, Recent topics, etc). I guess I should choose NONE in Module for startup in the main settings menu. But how do I fill the page with the content I want?

2) When I open the WF section in the main menu, a submenu appears with Submit Article, Popular, Rated, Archive.
How can I let this submenu disappear? (Besides opening another page, so the menu closes again.... )

3) How can I edit the text above the category listings in the WF section opening page?

Thnx for the replies that will hopefully arrive soon.

Greetings,

Ronaldus

Hai there,

I was just wandering, and could't find the answer in het XOOPS wiki: when I built a site on my local machine and want to put it on the server from my webhost, can I copy all the files with my FTP program and install XOOPS online, after which the whole site is the way I designed it (look and feel, documents and images on the right place, etc) ??
Or must I install remote and repeat all the work I did locally?
I can't imagine, but as a newbie I thought that this question is relevant....

Thnx and greetings,

Ronaldus

I visited yours sites. Looks good indeed!!
Now I'm convinced and I have choosen for WF-sections (what does the WF mean by the way?).

I'm looking forward to the time that I'm able to customize my site as you guys did with yours!
Very nice!

Thnx for replying and greetings,

Ronaldus

Does anyone have good experiences with this module or other suggestions??

Hai there,

I'm building a site with XOOPS for the first time.
A very nice CMS.
My question is: I expect to have several hundreds of articles (with illustrations, tables etc) in a few years.

I can choose from 21 content management modules.

Who can give advise which one is a good choice?

Thnx and greetings,

Ronaldus

Oke TJNEMEZ. You mean put your text in the textfield? And then set the auto block to auto or HTML?

By the way: the speed of the replies of you guys is an extra reason for choosing XOOPS as CMS!!
Great

Thnx,

Ronaldus
