That is not wat i'm looking for. That template is for the comments itself! (or atleast the buttons for the comments).

Does anyone know wat i'm talking about? I have no idea how else to explain it

I don't want to disable the comments. I want to only want to edit the part where a user can change commentview to threaded, nested or flat. I was thinking about deleting that entire table and relocate the "post comment" button. But I just need to know where <{$commentsnav}> is defined so i can at least make some changes.

Hi,

I'm working on some changes for the news section. I've only been messing with my template but there's one thing wich i can't change from there (or thats wat I think).

Inside my template, hardly any different from default atm, I want to change the following: The table under the newsitem with the view option (thread/nest/flat) and post comment button.

I know where it is in my template, commentsnav (in news_article)

<div style="text-align: center; padding: 3px;
margin:3px;"
>
<{
$commentsnav}>
<!-- <{
$lang_notice}> -->
</
div>

But I have no idea where it's defined. I hope someone could be so kind to tell me where to go so i can make my hack! (mayby i'm wrong and it doesn't even require a hack).

ps. Does anyone know a decent program to search within multiple .php files at once?

I've been messing around with a menu like that to. I think this menu could be of intrest to you:

http://www.milonic.co.uk/

And this example might kinda be what you'r looking for:
milonic menu with images

I must add I had some problems with it and I am now using a Tigra menu.

Good luck

hi,

Thanks, "isuser" is what I needed. Huh?! Didn't close all tags? hmm, I'll look into it. Btw, after posting i noticed my if/else didn't make any sense like this. It will most likely not show "admin sectie". Well, newbie mistake I guess, I'll learn someday

And yes, I know there is a dutch support site. I'll come bye soon

hi,

Besides the a drop down menu i intergrated with my website I want a seperate link for the admin section when the user is an admin and a link for a user that isn't logged in. I used a simple if/else to get info on type of user.

As far is the Admin link goes there's no problem, works perfectly. But when i want to add a second if for the user that's hasn't logged in yet it doesn't work. Even worse, XOOPS remeains blank!

I used this code. When I take out the second if part it works perfectly.

<{if $xoops_isAdmin == true}>
        <
tr
              <
td colspan="2" id="headerbar" align="left">|<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/admin.php">Admin sectie!</a>|</td>
          </
tr>
            <{if
$xoops_isOnline == false}>
              <
tr
                <
td colspan="2" id="headerbar" align="right">|<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php">log in</a>|</td>
              </
tr>
          <{else}>
          <
tr
              <
td colspan="2" id="headerbar" align="right"></td>
          </
tr>
        <{/if}>

I got this "&xoops_isOnline" form the API DOC but I had little hope this was gonna work anyway. Mayby someone knows wich one I am supposed to use.

btw: If you think my code is messy, plz consider i just started only looking at this code last week, all new to me, only used to plain html before XOOPS

Mayby not a great addition to the tread but I must say I totaly agree with catzwolf.

Mayby it would be nice if those stats could be costumized in a menu for the first admin page. Or be able to put a file in there yourself (like you do with freecontent or others like that) so you would even have more options.

edit:hmmm, it seems draven said something like I just said,(blocks etc.)quess I should read a little better ;)

Thank you for your reply but the location of the files wasn't the problem, I had already made sure of that.

the html menu (so just links) i have there now stays perfectly in place so there's nothing wrong with the table i've putten it in either.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? or mayby someone could tell me what menu they use so I can try that. And if that doesn't work i know i must have screwed something up somewehere

Hi,

I'm trying to intergrate a dHTML menu in my theme and it works fine on my top page. Unfortunately it doesn’t work at all in any other pages (news, forum, etc.). It just disappears. I’m using a modified imago07 theme.

When I go back to the top page it’s back again and working properly. I’ve got no idea what’s causing this. I’ve tried a few different menu’s. Using XOOPS 2.05!

I’ve seen many dHTML menu’s like am draven’s sites so I know it is possible. I hope someone can help me because I’m sure it’s just a small stupid thing I’m overlooking atm.
