Hi, this link might help you if you wnat to make a module with static html click here it shows how to make a one page module for static content.
Also if you just want a block above your news content you could just make a custom html block, make it visible in top page and set the weight to 0.

Hi, whilst browsing the XOOPS project files at sourceforge I came across a module called NewBB pro, I downloaded version 1.03, Ive not uploaded it yet as it looks like it might overwrite the original newbb in modules. Can anyone tell me anything about this module, is it any different form newbb is it any better? and is it fully working its not like a beta or anything like that?
I really want a decent forum for my site, I was thinking about the phpbb or ipb module from bbpixel but im not too confedint about overwriting XOOPS core files.
Any info about newbb pro would be great, thanks.

hi, i'm not sure about MyMenu but with MultiMenu you have to use version 1.1. I had trouble getting menu blocks to show with other versions of MultiMenu but 1.1 works a treat.

Hi, I am currently using phpbb as my forum but as this is seperate from my site which is XOOPS 2.0.7 I think it is confusing for visitors because the have to sign up to the forum seperatly.
So I am wanting to use newbb as the forum so that everything is in the same place type thing and there is no confusion about registration, etc.
I have 22 users currently on my phpbb forum and I would like to be able to transfer them to the newbb forum/site so that they dont have to sign up again. I am not bothered about transferrring the posts as there is not many but definatly the users.
I noticed on downloads there is a phpbb to newbb converter will this transfer the users for me? and is it easy to accomplish my knowledge of php and sql is rather limited.
If not can someone suggest how I might go about this or if there is some sort of hack that can do this, thanks very much.

Like stewdio said, I reccomend MultiMenu, I also use it on my site so all my custom pages, i.e freecontent pages and specific articles within sections can be linked to from this custom menu.
You have to make sure you use MultiMenu 1.1 though as the other versions didnt seem to work properly, you can find it in the Brasil modules pack in downloads.

Hi, I just installed the randomqoute module, put in some qoutes and made the block visible. but when i viewed it on the page the text was white on a whit background so the text didnt show up, but it was there because I could select it.
Anyway I went blocks admin and clicked edit template for that block and found the following code
So in order to get the text to show up as black i changed it to the following
Ithen clicked view and it came up as it should black text and authors name in darkgrey.
I then went to preferences and updated the html templates thing but back on the homepage the text is still white and the template code hadnt changed, so I changed teh actual html file and uploaded it into the randomquotes directory, but still no change.
I think my html code is correct so im not sure whats going wrong, anybody got any ideas?
Also in blocks admin.edit template there is no submit button only a view button..this was my first time at editing a template, is this right? how do you submit the changed template code?

Hi, I want to install xcGallery (i used it before its great)but I want to use ImageMagick as the convert tool, my webhost has GD but thumbnail qaulity is poor.
I am relatively new to web design/Xoops etc, can someone tell me what ImageMagick file I download from imagemagick.org and perhaps give me brief instructions on how to get it up and running?
I have an apache server (unix).
