Hello Everyone,

Now this looks like a great community, glad to be here.

I recently installed XOOPS through Fantastico onto a web site and now have version 2.0.5.2 which I even got to work.

Now what are the correct steps to upgrade it to the newest version which I think is 2.7?

Thank you all in advance.

you should just be able to unpack everythign to the same directory that 2.5 is in. When you connect to the site root, it will take you though the installation process again.

At least that's what it did for me.

Hi I wouldnt try and upgrade through fantastico, I tried to upgrade from 2.0.6 to 2.0.7 through fantastico and It didnt seem to work well I lost some content and modules got uninstalled, I dont know if i did something wrong or if i was meant to do something, but any just thought id let ya know, sometimes autoinstallers dont always do a great job of installing.
