I need to be able to "Pin" one news article to the home page of a XOOPS site. I have News as the Home Module for the site but I wish to keep one article at the top at all times. I'm the web designer but article updates are going to be done by a web illeterate so resetting the date on the article would be a cumbersom answer.

It also may come that they will want this one image (Possibly with some text content news article makes entry just that much simpler for the users of the site) the only thing that shows on the home page. Any suggestions?

I am also reading through the Module developement documentation I found when I searched the site but does anyone have a template for inserting static HTML as a Module?

Hi, this link might help you if you wnat to make a module with static html click here it shows how to make a one page module for static content.

Also if you just want a block above your news content you could just make a custom html block, make it visible in top page and set the weight to 0.
