Tonight I tryed to get the pedigree back running on the testsite.
I think I did a few things whrong........
I started to make a backup of the "old" databasefiles in SQL

that are the following files:

x1bb_stamboom [main file with all the data]
x1bb_stamboom_config [configuration file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup4 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup5 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup7 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup8 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup9 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup13 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_lookup14 [a user defined file]
x1bb_stamboom_temp [ this is just a temp file]
x1bb_stamboom_trash [trachcan file]

I did an export in SQL and saved the file on my local PC

After that I uploaded the Beta version of animal.
Then I did the install of the module.
This was ok.
The pedigree module is working and looks ok.

I saw that the main data file in SQL is called:

x2bb_mod_pedigree_tree
My thinking was to import the x1bb_stamboom data into the new x2bb_mod_pedigree_tree ,but when I try this I get a lot off errors.

So yes the good news is the beta is running ok.
But I would like to know how to get the "old " data back in the new database

Offcourse I`m doing something stupid

Please let me know what the right way is

Tomorrow I will try to work with the Beta and see if the faults that use to be there a still alive,I will let you know.

You are so right Flipse to see that there is no backwardscompability its quite
frustating.
First thing I did was make a backup off everything.

I have another site who I don`t use at the moment.
So I cleaned this one up and I`m now installing Xoops 5.2.2.
After that I will install the Beta Pedigree module and see if this works.
Then I can put back the users and data off the pedigree and see what happens.

If I have the site up and running I will give you the logins

Hello everybody,

What a great idee to pimp up the animal pedigree module.

I`m theo from the Netherlands and I`m using the animal pedigree now for some 4 years.
The site name ishttp://www.stamdoes.nl and its all about the dutch Schapendoes.

This weekend the hosting company changed the PHP to 5.3 and the site doesn`t work any more.

If I can help out,please let me know.

I saw that you are modifing the module,can I use this files to get the site up and running?
Or should I better wait?

Ok,I`m new at this.
I read all the FAQ`s and lots off dokumentatie but I don`t inderstand
I want to do a simpel thing,just make a custom block,and I want i`f you click it to open an PHP page.
How can I do this ?
Whats the format for the Hyperlink?
Is there some documentation on this,I can`t find it,maybey it`s to simpel....

Now I can go on with Xoops

I`m new to XOOPS so don`t be to hard on me
I have made a big mistake in the admin menu i`v chanced some rights of a registred user.
When I was finisched I saw that I did`t have rights anymore MYSELF
I mean ,when I loged on as the webmaster I don`t see the admin block anymore.
I looked into the mySQL database to see where this is done.
But again ,I`m a newbee....
Is there an easy way to get acces again?

If anybody knows,please help me out
