how to limit displayed info in mytabs block to one forum category per tab - read for more info

Hi,

I have cbb 3.0.8,xoops 2.3, mytabs 2.1. I would like each tab (mytab) to display info that is limited to specific forum categories. E.g like on XOOPS.org, where the "Core" menu tab displays info from XOOPS Core forums only (see xoops.org frontpage).

My default CBB blocks display results that span all categories. E.g adding "recently replied topics" block to one tab (e.g CORE tab) shows results from Core, Module, Theme..all forums.

How can I get it to be like XOOPS.org ...any help, anyone..?

how to configure rotating multiple buttons in centre block

Hi, I love the news centre block design on the top page of this site (www.xoops.org). What module do I configure my News menu buttons to rotate like that? (e.g. like the buttons for Recent News, breaking news and Developers). How do I get 3 categories annexed to each other like that?

All help appreciated.

Thank you so much. Issue is finally resolved. Turned out there were some system files missing on my website, e.g cgi-bin, vti, etc. I had my web host, reset my site and reinstalled xoops. Also for those seeing only systems info, remember to click the System text in the menu, and not just the hyperlink in the main column showing the system info. Obvious, I know... goodluck! And thanks again Mamba, Ghia. You were most helpful.

Thanks Mamba for the advise. But issue persists. I have moved xoop_data and lib folders back to Document root. Permissions for these are already 777. Issue persists. I again reinstalled the software 2ce more, leaving data and lib folders in root document (renamed). But issue persists....? :(

After installation, Admin menu shows only System options, rather than a full control panel. The Checksum run after installation flagged files in an absent installation folder (Which is reasonable, as I'd deleted installation folder after installs, as per release instructions).

Also it flagged missing XOOPS data and lib folders (which had been renamed already and relocated outside www).

I've reinstalled the s/w 4 times. If anyone can help before I give up, it would be much appreciated.

Thx
