Sorry, more specifically, the Templates Set.
System Module > Templates

Advisable to clone the default set.

So, why wouldn't we be able to modify the default XOOPS theme, no cloning included? I don't understand.
I don't know.

Aren't you talking about cloning the TEMPLATE, not the theme? I think the question being asked is in regards to the theme.

Bullsback, I don't know why Firefox doesn't acknowledge your theme/css. That's strange, and I haven't experienced it.

To see your changes to a theme, (under normal circumstances), you need to turn on modifications to YES in admin preferences. Clear your templates_c via ftp or whatever, and clear your browser's cache. You should be able to see your changes.
I don't know.

Just making more than one block would be the quick fix. Make each block seen by only the respective group you want.
• "Welcome guest, please login" -block seen only by anonymous group
• "Hi dude" -block seen only by admin
• "Welcome username" -block seen only by registered users

Yeah, I'm sure that's not the fix you're looking for though.
I don't know.

I second Mamba's post. Of course, family and priorities are most important, but if one (or two) people left with the final straw being the doc team thread... WOW. Why be hasty and leave instead of waiting for clarification.
Sorry, no offense to anyone, I am confused and ignorant.
Best of luck.

eantipa, I think you might want to remove your / before submit.php? Maybe?

From the module:
Quote:
~Type: set the link type you want to apply to the current link. There are 5 different link type :

* Category: display as a category link type.
* Main link: standard main link type.
* Permanent sublink: sublink type which would display permanently.
* Related sublink: sublink type which would display dynamically, regarding the parent mainlink. Note that to make the dynamic links to work, it is necessary to add '\ / ' (trailin slash) at the end of main links linking to a directory!
* Note: would display like a standard comment text.

Edit again: I have no idea what I'm talking about right now, sorry. I'll check this out more when I get time.
I don't know.

Can someone explain what needs to be done or point me to a thread or link with clear info? Pardon me if I'm just looking right at it without realizing.

I want to upgrade to GI Joe's Protector 3.04 from version 3.01.
What do I do? Do I modify files, uninstall stuff, overwrite stuff, start over clean, what?

Thanks for any input.
I don't know.

So why do I still use it? Well I know its quirkes. Like my old car, it rattles along but I know when its likely to break down so I just pull over and let it cool down, or just stay in. I can afford a new one, but I've had this car since new. Get the picture. I don't hate it, it just pisses me off every now and then when I need to use it.

I'm not sure you do know its quirks. You should seek support for issues you have with a theme instead of thinking XOOPS is old with bugs. I don't think the white screen you mention is a widespread, common issue. You should probably try to find the cause of the issue, which might be unique to your environment. Maybe you are using themes that are not even intended for your running version of Xoops.

There are many good "mechanics" around this garage that won't steer you wrong. Check your diagnostics.

Troubleshooting should surely explain away the cause of your white screen.
I don't know.
