Yes I always use Scoop box

Auto approve news stories without admin intervention?" set to yes? Not at first but now is.

4. when I don't have it set as start page I click on "news" in the main menu and get the same blank page. The only time I get the page visible is when I go to admin and the list of news items I click on them and see them exactly as it should be.

I'm a pain right?

I thought that was a problem too, it's automatically checked there however the expiration time is not checked. Having said that. i posted them last night and now it's Nov. 4. I went back and unchecked a couple and still no luck.

Yep sure did. with 10 I can see the page numbers to click on but nothing more

There's no error message and the mod installed successfully, so I am at a loss.

Is there similar news module maybe I should try instead?

Thanks and I installed this last night but having a problem.

Okay. So I have NOT uninstalled Altern8news yet because I didn't want to lose all my news items, so I'm copying them, or most of them over to the new News module. Which is going fine. it's just like altern8 in many ways.
the problem is that when I go to my sites "preferences" and make this NEWS the homepage/module for your start page. The page is blank. I don't see any of the news items i posted to the new mod.
I have checked permissions, everyone has rights to view.
What else am I missing?? I don't really want to delete the old until I know this one works and shows up okay. I have way too many items to lose.
I see the news items there, when I go thru the admin panel and click to read or edit. Just not at the start page

i got it here, sixth one down. used it now for a couple years...should I change? and if so to which and would i lose my news i have now
