Great seeing XOOPS 2.4! especially with the multi database capability. but i got a few questions.
1. how do you install on an alternate database (that is other than mysql) since i did not see the option in the dropdown menu while installing.

2. whats the XOOPS system key about?

I tried installing evennews on v2.33 but it wont work. i had used it previously on 2.0.16 and it did great. anyone know how to get it to work?

I dont think what you really want is really clear. But if you are thinking of accessing the admin area without a link simply type in your XOOPS site url/admin.php after you are logged in.

the x_base installation

Anyone seen the x_base module? it appears to be a very usefull module developed by XOOPS china. Its a school management module. I tried installing it, but didnt succeed. wont mind some help.

I have had a couple of challenges renaming modules folder and the modules themselves. this looks like a neat solution, but i aint sure about how i am supposed to use the download. its in French and i dont understand french. would appreciate some kinda interpretation or english documentation if you can send me one

I found the issue. i hadnt renamed all folders named modules. that cleared the issue.

I have been trying to rename the modules folder in xoops2.33, i replaced all the /modules/ and /modules' but couldnt complete the installation it got stuck (blank page) at the install modules step. any body know how i can get past this?

ok i guess i was a lil misunderstood. I like the multisite 2.33, and i have been experimenting with it. what i was referring to rather was a multi database, you know installing XOOPS with oracle or postgre rather than just MySQL. i found somthing on XOOPS china which was for 2.0.18, and was wondering if someone could try somthing similar for 2.33
