I don't know how to "do a find" or understand what you mean by:
"comment out those lines using // at the begining of each line," etc...
But in the a.m. I'll look at the index.php of the members module and see if I can figure it out by comparing it to what you added here.
I'm sorry to sound like a dummy but I am going to need dummy instructions for what it is I want to do here.

Hi thanks for your time both of you I appreciate it. James, I'm comfortable doing what I can but know my limitation, when it comes to changing php code that's only done when someone who knows what they are doing can help me. If I have instruction I'm O.K. just cannot figure it out myself!..... So I'll need to hire someone knowledgeble to help me. If you can do this please pm me and let me know your fee, also I'll send you my site url so you can see my current set up. Thanks again

Hi I need to hire someone to help me edit the Members Module.
If it is possible to edit it that is.

What I would like to do is for example, on this site when you click the "Members" link over on your left it takes you here:
https://xoops.org/modules/xoopsmembers/

What I want to do is by pass that page and have it so that when you click on the "Members" link it takes you directly to:
https://xoops.org/modules/xoopsmembers/index.php

Once there on the Members Index page I'd like to edit the form to have the fields:
Avatar UserName RealName Address Phone Email PM URL Joined Date

Instead of:
Avatar UserName RealName Email PM URL Joined Date Last login Number of posts

Can this be done and can you help me do it?
If so please pm or answer here I'll be checking back.

I almost had everything set up and then made a mistake.
My main page now looks like this.

I had a few tweaks left and it was/is taking me too long by trial and error.

I need to change the background color of my default templates, how? I've edited everything else, new graphics, edited .css etc.... but the main background color is still white.
Can someone tell me where to edit this?

Editing Text on pages

I need to edit some of the text on the pages and cannot find how to do so. I've read everything (I think) Usually I have no problem because there is a Docs folder or I can edit in Templates.... Where are they in Xoops?
For Instance I cannot find how to edit the page (in Links submit) that says at the top:
* Submit your link only once.
* All link information are posted pending verification.
* Username and IP are recorded, so please don't abuse the system.
* We will take a screen shot of your website and it may take several days for your website link to be added to our database.

This is on the Submit a Link page. This is the page address:http://ecmhc.com/members/modules/mylinks/submit.php
But the above text is not there to edit in the file "submit.php"
??? I want to take out the last sentence about the screenshots.
Where do I go to edit the page text?
Thank you for any help, I am happy to pay a fee.
