^ I am learning that, why would someone want to hack a little flooring contractors website?

Thankfully (seriously) I have someone helping me out with this and it is very much appreciated. I make me meager living with work gained through this website.

Any suggestions as to how I should avoid this from happening again and should I be protecting my other XOOPS site as well?

Alright xoopers: My website is GONE. I have not accessed any files, or changed ANYTHING exept to edit some text in a block, thats it!

Now, I have been having a MAJOR dispute with a XOOPS designer that has access to my admin, I hate to suspect foul play here but could anyone tell me why every single module has been wiped out of XOOPS and ALL of my content that I paid good money for is now GONE?

I make my living like this, and this is an absolute EMERGENCY if anyone is able to help.

GW is installing myprofile and the marquee module tonight, any other ideas?

I think I found a game I might add....but that is about it.

More critique is encouraged, how can I give users MORE so they come back MORE.

I cant take credit for the site, graphic worx has done 99 percent of the work.

I have always felt like it is missing "something".

Things I think would help:

I would love to showcase MORE and BETTER media....but I do not know what XOOPS is capable of doing for me.

I would love to utilize more social interaction/networking type things like you mentioned above.

I am proud of what we have done, but I just dont know what else we CAN do.

I genuinely appreciate any ideas any of you have, and J, the questions you asked shows me you may have ideas related to those things, any in particular?

While I appreciate your posts, I dont think these would be programs you would suggest for my users if you review tbe current state of my website.

I am stuck and looking for ideas from someone who knows the ins and outs of xoops, which I do not.

Maybe to better phrase I am looking for ideas on how to "spruce up" my site.

I realize this question sounds stupid.....but I feel like my website needs MORE but I dont know WHAT.

Things I might have in mind are more utilization of media or user interactivity. I am very short on vision but I just feel like the site is "lacking content" and articles is not what I mean.

Any fun programs or modules I have never heard of?

Any ideas?

I have a friend opening a clothing, skateboard, wakeboard, ski and snowboard shop (brick and motor) but he will need a web presence and be able to sell online, can someone show me an example of a XOOPS based site able to accomplish that?

I am willing to "hire" a XOOPS programmer to help me fix a few bugs on my site, get us set up with a more professional design, and add/modify some modules.

I tried to post on this before and was sent MANY offers of "I can do this for $1,000.00"

Its a not for profit website, I am willing to pay someone 25 dollars per hour.
