Upgrade from 2.0.13 to 2.2.3a Final?

Hi!
I'm currently working on a site using XOOPS 2.0.13. Is upgrading to 2.2.3a a good idea to get the latest bugfikses or will it likely introduce more problems?

hmmm.. I'm not sure I can install anyone of those on the final webserver.. Is it GD2 that makes the images so crappy looking?

Hi!
I'm having problems with myalbum-p's thumbnails - they seem a bit off in the colors, a bit desaturated. Have anyone else experienced this?

Hi!
I've just installed myalbum 2.8.4 under XOOPS 2.0.13.2, but when I try to access the album link in the main menu i get the following message:

XOOPS root path not defined

EDIT:
I first installed a couple of modules. Then after some tweaking (changing the language and setting it all up) i installed both myalbum 2.8.4 and newbb 2.02 and none of them work when I click the link on the main menu - but all the other modules work. I've installed another language in those modules too, but it doesn't help

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

SOLUTION:
I found out that smartpartner also had the same problem. After looking through the files I found that the current line didn't do what it was supposed to:

include "header.php";

This line was supposed to include header.php located in the same directory as the module, but instead it included hader.php in XOOPS root directory since I had included the XOOPS root directory to the include path. Perhaps module authors should only use absolute paths?

Hi!
I've installed XOOPS (2.0.13.2) on my home computer (using xampp), But after a while I got the following message instead of the main page:

XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run.

I've found this page:

But this is on my own computer, so the host hasn't changed adress, and changing "define('XOOPS_CHECK_PATH', '1');" in mainfile.php to 0 doesn't help.

I've doublechecked the settings in mainfile.php and they seemes to be perfectly fine.

Any suggestions?

SOLUTION:
Adding the XOOPS root folder to include_path in php.ini causes this problem. Check out this link for further info:

I'm using 2.0.13.2, and it isn't actually present in blocksadmin.php.. it was the language file that was the problem... thanks!

Hi!
I've just changed the language files from English to Norwegian, and I see that some of the php variables aren't declared, one of those is "_AM_DBUPDATED". So where should this be declared? I've found "_MD_AM_DBUPDATED" in system\language.php, but not the one I'm looking for..

Hi!
When I update a block I with PHP debug enabled I get the following message:

Notice [PHP]: Use of undefined constant _AM_DBUPDATED - assumed '_AM_DBUPDATED' in file C:\Program Files\apachefriends\xampp\htdocs\Own\Vestmarkrittet\modules\system\admin\blocksadmin\blocksadmin.php line 289

Why does this occur?

Hmmm.. I'd like to keep the english language intact, and change a clone of that one. Any suggestions on how to fix that?
