I don't know what I did - I reinstalled the members on the MySQL database.

It's working today - keeping my fingers crossed.

Greetings all. I imported my members into a new site with 2.0.13 and everything looks good until you go to view the member account.

When I try to View mine I get:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 128 bytes) in /home/mysite/public_html/class/smarty/Smarty_Compiler.class.php on line 1180

When I look at the file I see just a } on line 1180

Any suggestions? Thanks! We can't assign any avatars until we can get to the View your account page. :o)

Re: Bizarre FireFox problem...

What I did find is that I must have maxed out the amount of block that a page can have. When I "unviewed" some the site worked fine. When I made them visable the site didn't work. So I moved some blocks to other pages.

I'm having weird things too with firefox. In fact just a few minutes ago I made the smartfaq block "did you know" visible and firefox gave me a 500 internal error.

Freaked me out!

But on IE the site worked fine (for guests anyway).

So (in IE) I made the block non-visible and firefox works fine (for webmasters - didn't want to mess with it too much during prime viewing time).

Strange - very strange -

Download the template for the item you are changing from the templates area of the admin module.

Go back to the admin module and upload the new template....don't 'generate it', because if you do that it will pull it from the modules folder of templates (the one you haven't changed).

Thank you so much for posting this. I had the same problems as above and I tried your method and it worked!

OH I am SO BAD! I might celebrate with a donut!

I went to MySQL - with phpmyadmin and looked in xoops_tplfile and there was "one itty bitty" line from one of the deleted mods - XOOPS partners (since I am using smart partners) so I dropped it and voila! I have the clone feature back.

Weird part is the 500 internal server error is only happening when I use firefox - it's fine with IE -

OK - enough for me I need some sleep.

OK how about this -

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/sananton/public_html/modules/system/admin/tplsets/main.php on line 93

I turned on phpdebug and then went back to Template Set Manager and this is what I got. I suppose I can compare the files with the working one - but (bats her lashes looking helpless) (grin)

P.S. If this is line 93:
echo '<li>'.$module->getVar('name').' [<a href="admin.php?fct=tplsets&op=listtpl&tplset='.$tplsetname.'&moddir='.$moddir.'">'._LIST.'</a> (<b>'.$filecount.'</b>)]</li>';

That's my extent ya'll - help? Thanks!

(ok let's try this again - my 'puter froze)

I'm having the same problem in SAOLGS (no clone option for templates). I have about 8 XOOPS installations so I upgrade them all at the same time and my other active site has the clone option.

I do use slightly different sets of mods for each.

The site is working fine - but I can't update the html. When I go to admin-general preferences - update html - I get a 500 internal server error.

Eventually this will catch up with me. I have updated, overwritten files - just about all a newbie can think about.

So what would cause two different sites to be so different?

I eventually need to fix this whole problem - I don't trust my skills enough to work with MySQL databases and port it to a clean installation.

If needed - I can list the two different sets of mods used. OK back to trouble shooting - I'll be keeping tabs. I am using 2.0.13

Thanks!

I appreciate when a module developer puts in some kind of information about the progress of the module. I too have had about a 75% success rate - and learned the hard way to test modules before using them. Even then like just today I installed a new mod: tested everything (I thought) - announced the mod to the group and then found an error when trying to edit your post (sigh).

Yes, I should go back and write - but to be honest I sometimes forget just where I found the module and sometimes I do figure out what's wrong. Perhaps a feedback script in each module? I dunno - I'm just thinking out-loud. It's easy to be overwhelmed when a non techie.

But thank you to those who do the work! I love it! :o)
