Hi,

Whenever I try to preview or submit a news item, from the web form on the public site (not in the administration menu), it crashes and closes IE.

Submitting news from the Admin area seems to work fine, but I like registered users to my site to have submission capability.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply. I did try it without the first slash, and it didn't work. I also put the entire directory path in, and no luck.

What makes this more frustrating is that I'm running another version of the exact same module, on the same server, with the same path, and it's working.

I remembered reading something about safe mode, and some other settings when I set that one up (about 4 months ago), but I can't find my old notes.

Anyhow...If it works on one, then it must work on the other, somehow.

I have verified with my webhost that ImageMagick binaries are located at /usr/bin and I can see them in that directory. Chmods are all 755.
Checking /usr/bin/identify
Error! (File /usr/bin/identify does not exist.)

Checking /usr/bin/convert
Error! (File /usr/bin/convert does not exist.)

Checking /usr/bin/composite
Error! (File /usr/bin/composite does not exist.)

Also, when I click on "New Album" I receive the following message:
Error: Couldn't open lock file (/home/virtual/site352/fst/var/www/html/xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album02/photos.datlock)!Error: Couldn't open lock file (/home/virtual/site352/fst/var/www/html/xoops/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album02/album.datlock)!

I'm using xoopsgallery v1.3.3.7 running under XOOPS 2.0.10.
ImageMagick - 5.5.5

Thanks,
Adam

I replaced the groupperm.php file with one from v. 2.01.09, and I still have the same problem.

Would it be possible to go right to a DB table and change the values there?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a beginner with Xoops. Can you point me in the right direction with respect to updating the file?

Thanks for your help.

PS: I'm running XOOPS 2.0.5

News 1.3 Permissions Problem

Hi,

I just upgraded to News 1.3, and when I try to set group permissions, I have the following problem:

I can only set one set of permission. For example, if I set who can view news articles, I lose my permission settings for who can submit articles, and who can approve articles.

The module only records the last submission. What happens is after I submit a news article, unregistered users try to click on the link off of my home page, and they receive a no access screen, which then refreshes to the actual news article.

I would like Registered & Webmasters to submit, Anonymous to have access to the articles and archives, and webmasters to have all access. Is there a way for me to get around the 3 form permissions window in News 1.3?

Thanks,
Stinky
