Okay, I figured it out. The file is indeed xyp_listingfull. My lines 18, 19, and 20 of code look like this.

18  <{/if}>
19  <{$link.city}>
20  <{if $link.city != ""}><{$link.city}>, <{/if}> <{$link.state}> <{$link.zip}><br>

The <{$link.city}> on line 19 has to go. Re-upload the file, go to your module admin page, and then update the module.

Empty your browsers cache and take a look at one of your listings. The double city listing should be gone.

I was reckless and did this without backing up my database first (prolly not necessary, but what do I know about MySQL sites?

Has a filename/line number ever been identified as the culprit for this double posting of the city name? I have the xyp_listingfull.html template open, which I think should be the right one, but I'm not confident that I'm about to delete the corect thing.

Anyone?

Has anyone else received an "Errors returned while Uploading" message after trying to submit a job listing with a logo? If so, did you figure out the cause?

I did check the permissions of the logo images folder, and they are fine.

Thanks!

Hey Dave and tripmon!

Thanks for responding!!!

The file does have other content. I have included:

Quote:
<Files ~ "mainfile.php">
Order allow,deny
Deny from all
</Files>

per your(?) suggestion in the documentation.

Where would:

Quote:
php_flag   register_globals   off

go in relation to the above? AND how many spaces should be between the phrases? As Protector lists this command, there are three spaces between "flag" and "register." Also three between "globals" and "off." Does it matter?

Also, tripmon—

I am running third-party modules. And I seem to remember reading somewhere that this could be an issue. Once Dave (or someone) can verify what the .htaccesss file should look like, I'll be able to determine whether the deactivation testing will reveal the problem module. Of course, at this point, I don't even know if I inserted the code properly, so I guess I'll start there and get more involved as needed.

Thank you both for your help. I really appreciate it.

PLEEEEEAAAASE help me with this question.

When I check Protector's "Security Advisory" I get this message:

'register_globals' : on   Not secure

This setting invites a variety of injecting attacks.
If you can put .htaccess, edit or create...

/home/XXX/public_html/.htaccess

php_flag   register_globals   off

I can edit this file, but when I put "php_flag   register_globals   off" in the file and then try to access my site I get a "500" error.

Does anyone know what I'm probably doing wrong?

Thanks to anyone who can offer help.

Thank you!!!

I thought that I had tried that! But I think maybe I didn't empty my browsers cache, so didn't know that it worked. Perfection now! You Rock!

I have a settings question of my own, as well:

How do you set the Main Options page's default settings so that all the forums are in the "collapsed" view?

Like this:

I seem to be able to find out how to set everything else the way I want, but not that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hey, Skara—

These effect of settings show up when you are reading the Topic View of your Forum listing. It's in the right-hand drop-down menu of "Sorted By."

See here:

Resized Image

The positive/negative numbers correspond to how far back you want to reach back into the posts. The default "Since" pulls up Forum posts from the "Last 100 Days."

Like so:

Hope this is what you meant!

Thanks from me also, Macelee!

See? I knew someone would come along who knew what s/he was talking about! It's funny--You start getting into new things with XOOPs, and it's so easy to forget the little things. Like the "Set module weight to '0' to hide" instructions right at the top of the page. Doh!

Hey, Catalin—

I'm actually trying to figure that out myself right now. What I'm probably going to do (at least until someone answers your question better than I can) is use Multimenus 1, 2, and 3 to divide and display the choices that would normally be available in the Main Menu. Then I'll go to my admin page, select "Blocks" and make the Main Menu invisible.

I know that might not be quite what you're looking for, but it's a quick fix.
