I've tried to recreate but it works for me. I'm sure you're doing this, but just in case. Are you clicking the HTML box before you paste your code? Otherwise Kiovi will try to format it for you and put in it's own html, e.g. <br />.

There is a small bug here to watch though... click the HTML box again after you have pasted your code, otherwise Kiovi won't save it.

Best way to find a lot of information on this is do a search for "autologin hack".

There is a useful FAQ here:

Xoops.org - How safe is autologin + email hack?

I think there are a few options I've implemented this autologin hack found here:

Xoops.biz - download area

It's been running for just over a month now and I am really happy with it!

I've been using XOOP-Stats v0.45 for XOOPS for almost six months now and am pretty happy with it.

Results are pretty basic, but it looks good. You can provide Stats access for any selected users to view.

Thanks Hervet for the suggestion of 7-zip, I'll try it out. I've used WinAce in the past.

I'm also using the Koivi editor with both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I'm very happy with it.

The only thing that it is missing is the ability to upload files. I'm pretty sure SPAW can do this and I've heard that the latest version of SPAW does support Firefox but I'm not technical enough to download it from their site without the great step-by-step instructions usually provided on this site.

So... I really like Koivi because it supports Image Manager and Firefox. But no file upload option.

In my perfect world I would be able to work on an article, and click on an upload button, locate the file on my hard drive, click upload, have the editor recognize the file type and place the appropriate icon into the page I'm editing with a link to the file I just uploaded.

Believe it or not, I used the search feature on this site to find the answer.

But it took me a few tries (I'm including them here to help future searches).

custom search field - nothing useful
custom search - lots of info but nothing that I needed
"search field" - found it!

It's in the FAQ, see
How do I create a form to search one module only?

My favourite application for creating and editing web graphics is Macromedia Fireworks.

But I'm going to give GIMP a try, sounds interesting.

I keep on hearing about getting XT-Temas module, but when I search this XOOPS site I get:

Module Repository
No Match Found for your Query

The closest thing I can find to this is XT-Themes, is this the same thing?

Interesting option... but it doesn't seem to fix my problem. I'm trying to allow my users to select their default theme. I have some users that want lots of fancy graphics and small text. I have some other users that want just text (big text) and minimal graphics.

They don't want to select their own theme every time. They just want to be able to log in and see everything fit their preference automatically.

I'm looking for this as well. I found this in the module repository:

Xt - Themes. - Fix your Theme 1.0
https://xoops.org/modules/repository/singlefile.php?cid=43&lid=1332

But it's seems dated. I tried going to the author's website.
http://www.xoops.net.br

I couldn't find anything newer.

Any other suggestions? Is anyone allowing their users to select their own default theme with XOOPS 2.0.10?

I like the idea of adding this option to the core for future releases. Profile > Edit Account > Select Default Theme. Don't forget to give the administrator the ability to turn this option on or off.

OR... If you want to get crazy, allow the administrator to assign groups to each loaded theme so that they can allow what themes their users can use, depending on the groups they belong to. Then apply the following rules.

1. If I belong to a group with no themes, I see the default theme and don't get the option to change my theme in my profile.

2. If I belong to a group with one theme, then this is my default theme and don't get the option to change my theme in my profile.

3. If I belong to a group with multiple themes, then I can pick any of these themes in my profile.

This could be useful in this example: I would like to have my power users have a different theme (along with extra buttons and links) than my regular or anonymous users.

OK... I love this stuff... I just get a bit carried away... I'm a programmers worst nightmare!

Simeon, zeroram, these are the best drawings I've seen here! I prefer this style over the cartoon animal character. But I see a close resemblence to the Excite logo.http://www.excite.com/

For me, XOOPS is a product that allows any shmuck, such as myself, to produce a quality community portal website that everyone can participate in. It's all about bringing people together online. Giving the power to non-programmers to be able to make a custom web environment.

I suggest continuing with the "X" person logo, instead of an animal.
