Marco... That seems logical, all right, but for some reason when I tried to do that with Frontpage it didn't work. Hmmmm.

Thanks for the post. At least I know now that it can be done with FrontPage (or others).

Cheers.

3 XoopsGallery Problems/Questions

I have 3 problems/questions with XoopsGallery and I was hoping that someone could help me out...

(1) Is it possible to re-arrange albums at the top level of the gallery?

(2) I have tried turning on the Album Tree feature and nothing happens. I have tried running module updates, etc... to no avail.

(3) Anyone know of any way to convert/import XoopsGallery photos to myAlbum or myAlbum-P ?

Thanks-
Docker

Don't know if this will help since I am using XoopsGallery and not MyAlbum-P. I had a similar problem with a blank page being displayed when adding photos to the gallery or when doing various other things.

It had worked just fine until I turned cacheing 'on'. As soon as I turned it 'off' for this module, all the recent problems went away.

My 2 cents...

Greetings! Thanks in advance for your help. My new XOOPS site is looking really good except for 1 thing. I don’t know anything about html or php coding. I’ve always used WYSIWYG programs like FrontPage, NetFusion, etc…. So, now that I want to make some simple coding changes I am unable to. Please help!

What I am trying to do is swap out the graphic in the header of the default theme, and I can’t seem to get it right.

Here is what I have done:
* I created a graphic and named it logo.gif, and sized it to 337x80 pixels, size=3.69kb.
* Copied it to the /themes/default directory
* Update module template .html files… in Preferences
*Turned off Banners display in System Administration

The graphic is displayed in the header, but compressed to what seems like the size of the original logo.gif that I replaced (148x80).

When I edit the theme.html and insert the new logo.gif, I get a blank spot w/small red x in the header where the graphic is supposed to be displayed. The blank graphic spot does seem to be the size of the new logo.gif file.

Then I deleted the cell that had the banner, next to the cell where the logo.gif is inserted, the whole header is a blank spot w/small red x.

I hope this is a simple thing to do. Please help!

I looked up the WF- products and it appears that I was right about WF-Channel... The web page for the WF-Projects ishttp://www.wf-projects.com/index.php

From the description of the WF-Channel:

WF-Channel is an easy to use module for XOOPS 2.x to create information pages.

WF-Channel is a way of managing those pages of information that other modules just don't seem to fit. You can keep together those 'about Us', 'Refer a Friend', 'Link to Us', Privacy Statements or just about any type of information that you believe would benefit your users. This module is therefore kept simple but still offers a lot of interesting options.

Here is a short selection of features offered:

easy to use module.
allows you to create pages using XOOPS codes/smilies and/or HTML tags.
simple builtin editor or use of Spaw editor if installed.
allows to import html documents.
allows to add images.
option to define a publish and expiry date if needed.

I'm gonna download this puppy and give it a try...

When I hoover my mouse over the All About XOOPS menu item I notice that it points to the module "WF-Channel".

I have had the same question as you, so I'm going to check out WF-Channel to see if it does the trick.

I'm new to XOOPS, having installed my 1st XOOPS this past weekend. Love it. I run a family web page, and this sure beats the heck out of trying to maintain a "traditional" web site, especially since I ain't a web coder!

Greetings all!

I am in the process of bringing up a family web page, after having spent most of the weekend converting over from a 'traditional' site. I love XOOPS and the XOOPS community! Just have some finishing touches and some final things to do before I go live.

Simple question, I hope... on the start page I'd like a block of text very similiar to the "Welcome to XOOPS..." block on the start page of XOOPS.org. Is the start page actually a News section? I have tried creating News items and just about every combination of setting preferences and arranging blocks, but I can not get my Home page to display a block of text like I want.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
